At The River Shack we are not interested in fuss or formalities, we simply want to provide you with delicious food and drink in a relaxed and beautiful setting.

You can dine right by the waters edge on sunny days, shelter in our waterside marquee on rainy ones, or relax by our log burner inside on the cooler days.

The views in themselves are worth the trip, but wait until you try the food! Our menus are creative, seasonal, rustic and delicious.

Along with the rest of our fantastic team, we look forward to meeting you down at the creek!

Perfect lunch in a perfect location. Waitresses friendly and helpful. Lovely experience all round.

You'd only go here for the location and atmosphere as both are very good. As a result, the food and wine is pricy and not very good. £26 for a bottle of watery Shiraz and £18 for a seafood tostada that was 90% butter beans in a spicy tomato sauce. The burger was good. All the other food except the burger that was coming out looked pretty rubbish.

The location, the staff, the service, the pizzas. Can’t think of anything that would’ve made it better. (the weather was glorious too).

We highly recommend The River Shack: the booking process was straightforward; we arrived early which was no problem. The menu was varied and appetising. Our meals (grilled sardines and a crab and shrimp salad followed by strawberry panacotta) were delicious. It was a fine day so we sat outside. Everybody appeared to be enjoying themselves. Several ‘walk-ups’ arrived without reservations who were cheerfully accommodated. We arrived by dinghy from our boat anchored off White Rock which was very straightforward.

A stunning setting with amazing food and very friendly and efficient staff. Dog friendly too which is a bonus.
