The Ritz on Union has a traditional heritage while bringing a modern flair. We pride ourselves on providing a good sense of value with exquisite taste, presentation, and ambience. We offer Mediterranean dishes, inherent to our Sicilian background, with gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options for the most discerning of tastes, and our desserts are simply scrumptious. Enjoy cocktails and drink specials at our full bar.

During the pandemic of 2020, we demolished the old dining room portion of our facility and transformed it into The Ritz on Union. We styled a restaurant having a contemporary look, and focused the menu and service to provide the very best food and dining experience that Schenectady has to offer. In addition, we present the newest options for parties and gatherings, formal and work functions, and life events like showers, weddings and anniversaries. We can accommodate up to 65 people in our beautiful dining room.

Hospitality and customer service was great. The owner made sure everyone was comfortable and having a great experience. The food was really good with great flavors. Drinks were top notch. Overall, I had a great time and pleasant experience.

We have been here a couple times. Last night was out of the ordinary. Our waitress is not to blame. She was very apologetic. Drinks took forever. A beer, glass of wine, lemonade thing and a bourbon drink. I think the bartender was new, interesting that I did not see the owner as we have in past. Food was excellent although two people got the pancetta with peas and one was swimming in oil, I would go back but behind the scenes service was off. It was not overly crowded

Everything about this restaurant was great. The food, atmosphere, service, and drinks were all wonderful. Most important they are not afraid of flavor !! We started with the warm rolls and garlic butter, which many other places don't even put an effort into anymore. The arancini were fantastic as were our entrees. The atmosphere had a cool modern vibe that was comfortable for casual or more dressy attire.

Really liked this place. Food, drinks, service, and atmosphere were all good. We tried the short rib bolognese, fig jam pizza, charcuterie board and brussel sprouts. We liked everything. We wanted to pocket the special butter (served with the bread), take it home and slather it on everything. lol

The menu for Mother’s Day brunch had a great selection. The bourbon Bloody Mary and the Kentucky Royal were the favorite cocktails. The spaghetti squash, lamb chops and chicken parm were fantastic. Our waitress Amanda paced the meal and we were able to enjoy a leisurely brunch in a busy but inviting atmosphere. Well done!!

The meal started rough with a scalding hot pasta fagioli but recovered quickly with the entree and desserts. I just think either the soup in the soup crock was set too high or all of the moisture was cooked out. Nevertheless it was fantastic and will be back again very soon

We found the whole experience delightful. Service was quick and we were in a hurry. Parking was easy and we enjoyed being there. Wonderful food.
