The Ritz on Union has a traditional heritage while bringing a modern flair. We pride ourselves on providing a good sense of value with exquisite taste, presentation, and ambience. We offer Italian Continental dishes, inherent to our Sicilian background, with gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options for the most discerning of tastes, and our desserts are simply scrumptious. Enjoy cocktails and drink specials at our full bar.

During the pandemic of 2020, we demolished the old dining room portion of our facility and transformed it into The Ritz on Union. We styled a restaurant having a contemporary look, and focused the menu and service to provide the very best food and dining experience that Schenectady has to offer. In addition, we present the newest options for parties and gatherings, formal and work functions, and life events like showers, weddings and anniversaries. We can accommodate up to 65 people in our beautiful dining room.

The food was delicious. Our server was lovely, but the appetizers came out with the dinners, and timing was off. Drinks took a long time to get to the table.

The "Ritz on Union" in Schenectady reminds me of a typical NYC small restaurant. Nice breezy decor and a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. My wife and I went with a couple of friends for lunch and sat at a nice double table at the back of the restaurant. Good, but small menu. I had an appetizer of mussels in a broth with crostini - delicious. My wife had the eggplant parmigiana - she also thought hers was wonderful. I tasted it and it was. Food prices were very reasonable. Service was excellent. The one negative were the wine prices - I paid $12 for a medium size glass of sauvignon blanc.

We went there to celebrate our friend’s retirement after seeing a show at Proctor’s. The ambiance was wonderful and our waiter Shane took great care of us. The food was delicious and Shane sang for my friend who was retiring. The dessert came out with candles on it. I will definitely be returning!

Service was good but food was very slow to come out. Waited so long for our appetizers that our dessert was comped. One of the appetizers, after having waited 30 minutes for it had to be sent back because it tasted like freezer burn. Chicken Parmesan was very good, and so was the sauce although pasta was a tad overcooked. The strawberry shortcake dessert was amazing.

Hospitality and customer service was great. The owner made sure everyone was comfortable and having a great experience. The food was really good with great flavors. Drinks were top notch. Overall, I had a great time and pleasant experience.

We have been here a couple times. Last night was out of the ordinary. Our waitress is not to blame. She was very apologetic. Drinks took forever. A beer, glass of wine, lemonade thing and a bourbon drink. I think the bartender was new, interesting that I did not see the owner as we have in past. Food was excellent although two people got the pancetta with peas and one was swimming in oil, I would go back but behind the scenes service was off. It was not overly crowded
