Honestly I have been to Knife in Dallas and I love it but this place and the food left me wanting. I ordered the red fish and potatoes, the potatoes came out cold and not fully mashed and the fish was extremely fishy. My friend had the cauliflower and risotto and said it wasn’t great either. Maybe for a drink but the food was extremely disappointing especially for the cost.

Subpar in most every way, from a veteran server just going through the motions to a terribly overpriced wine list and steak served lukewarm. Desert was good (both blackberry meringue and pana cotta). Has the feel of a place just trying to hang on.

My wife commented that her view of a dead palm tree in the corner while fruit flies pestered us during the meal was unappealing . The service was perfect but the pizza was over salted.

This advertises its self as having a Michelin Star chef, also it’s located at a Ritz Carlton. Both of these bring an extra level of expectation with service and quality. We waited at the hostess booth to be greeted and seated for 5 minutes at 9:30 PM, we had a reservation for 9:30 PM. Why no one was there to greet and seat us was beyond me. When the hostess finally showed up, she then had to go set the table up. Did I mention we had a reservation? At that time of night after traveling all day, you just want to be seated, have a cocktail and be served.

Overall pretty disappointed. Service was pretty awful. Took about 15 minutes to get a drink. Then I placed the order and asked the server to course it out. Instead they brought almost all the foods at once and there was no room for the plates. Service again was poor after we received the food. It was above average but by no means excellent. Perhaps I’m snobby because I live in Los Angeles. The dry aged beef as recommended was over cooked by about 1.5 levels. Asked for medium rare received medium plus. Would’ve sent it back but the sever was nowhere to be found. Meal took over two hours for 2 people. Sad because the ambience is great and the room is cool. Service and poor food though. Left feeling pretty ripped off.

I will preface by saying that we are spoiled to some great restaurants. Environment and ambience was great. Service appeared to be good for most, but our food service was paced very slowly. Bar was small - three seats. Food was above average, but not quite worth the price point. Veal meatballs were overcooked and crumbly. Bolognese was fairly good. 20 oz. loin (45-day aged) was slightly tough and bland for a dry-aged steak. Lastly, ironically for a placed called “knife”, the steak knifes were as dull as a spoon. Did not overall enjoy enough to return, but generally fine meal.

The general manager and our waiter were absolutely great. The ambiance was fantastic. Food was great. Would have given it 5 stars, but we were charged for something we didn’t order. We would definitely go back and try something new!
