                                                                                            Had the veal shank which was fatty, tough and dry. One of the worst pieces of meat 2 of us have had in years.Service was spotty. Sour dough bread and rigatoni were good

                                                                                            Overall we were sadly disappointed. We came a few years ago with the family and had a high quality afternoon tea. Coming back they seem to have tried to put a fresh spin on the afternoon tea but unfortunately not really succeeded. Some elements were dry (black pudding puff) some quite hard (beetroot tart) and others just odd (the beef pastrami on soggy, sweet tomato bread). The scones were passable, the sweet components didn’t exactly sing either with the peach bavarois verging on gross. The tea selection was good and the staff attentive enough. We then had an annoying wait for the bill as the system was down. They eventually just worked out the bill manually but added on a chunky service charge. The experience has put us off afternoon tea in general and not sure we would come back again.

                                                                                            We had a disappointing experience. Whilst the staff were very enthusiastic, the quality of the food was poor. A tasteless cauliflower risotto and a rather insipid fish dish. It was a shame because it was meant to be a birthday celebration. We left without trying the desserts.

First class service from being greated to getting the bill. Staff were very polite and friendly. The afternoon tea was delicious. Would highly recommend.

                                                                                            We brought my grandmother to the Rise restaurant on Monday 26th of August . We were greeted by Ian who was amazing and took my grandmother up to the restaurant with my mum. He was a lovely gentleman and a great greeter the first member of staff we met and a great brand ambassador. We were then handled handled by Lola who was outstanding, her attention to detail was marvellous. She was warm and welcoming and had the highest of standards . Our whole experience was faultless . We will be back before Christmas to see you again . We loved the sparkling English wine it was fabulous. Ian and Lola were amazing their service and hard work should be acknowledged. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon.
