A former 14th century drovers' inn, The Rhydspence Inn offers you fresh seasonal food, fine wines, local ales and exceptional accommodation.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our food which uses locally sourced produce wherever possible.
The Menu is short and changes regularly. We always offer vegetarian options.

Food was excellent and we love the authentic interior, not ‘tarted up’ but charming and comfortable. Service was professional, friendly but unfortunately somewhat slow, purely due to our waiter having to tend the bar and serve the tables at the same time, single handed! We enjoyed our lunch and will go back.

Excited to find this place. Food was high end and fresh, proper ‘old world’ pub atmosphere and delightful host (Craig). It felt like being back in The Cotswolds again which is a rare thing in Herefordshire! We will be back soon….

Simple, but interesting lunch menu. Very good quality and exceptional value for money. Staff were delightful, putting up with late arrival and numerous small children and a dog!

A fantastic experience all round, excellent food, service was as well. The locals were equally brilliant we had a great time and will definitely be back as we are booking another holiday in the area for next year

We really enjoyed dinner here -- the food is inventive and skilfully executed. Great flavours. The cured salmon sitting on a perfectly balanced horseradish pannacotta was just perfect. Service was friendly and knowledgeable about the food and wine. Would happily visit again!

Excellent food cooked perfectly. Beautifully presented and lovely flavours. Best place to eat in the area. Staff very welcoming. Interesting wine list with some high end bin ends of wine if your thing. Will definitely be returning.

Remarkably underwhelming for somewhere that’s been here a long time! We were one of two parties at a lunchtime on a Friday and yet the welcome was not warm nor was the service. No care or willingness to make you feel welcome either. Fundamentals totally overlooked or not considered important. Pity as we would always normally recommend places to people but as there are so many other places that are better this is a no go zone.

The Rhydspence Inn is a beautiful old drovers inn with a lovely garden going down to a small stream. The whole experience was most pleasant, service, food and ambience excellent. We have known The Rhydspence through several owners and the present ones are delivering everything as it should be.
