Welcome to The Rex Seaside Steakhouse.

A neighborhood steakhouse using seasonal and quality ingredients to bring flavor and hospitality to Redondo Beach. Join us in our dining room every night or our Drift Cocktail Lounge on Friday and Saturdays for a night to remember.

Intentionally sourced with an eye for quality, we offer USDA Prime, Miyazaki A5 Japanese Wagyu, and American Wagyu. All are steaks are cooked to perfection over our white oak fire.

Family-owned and operated, we strive to off a one-of-a-kind luxury experience with all the charm of a neighborhood restaurant.

Booker thoughtfully farms and crafts world class wines that leave a small footprint but make a big impact! Their 100-acre certified organic estate vineyard produces a myriad of different wines with an emphasis on Rhône varietals. Experience will be $150++; If your cancellation is within 48 hours of event date, the charge will be a $25 per person.

Went for our anniversary and so glad we did. The whole evening was great - the service, the food, the wine were all exemplary. Quite expensive but you really get what you pay for - and this place really is the jewel in the crown of Riviera Village. Do not miss out.

Rex’s was recommended by some friends and we are forever greatful. Angela was our server and from her welcome to her goodbye she was friendly and professional. She made some nice recommendations for dinner and made us feel and home. Her service was the perfect balance of never feeling rushed or forgotten which is a real talent. My wife had a lemon drop martini and I had a Rex’s old fashioned both of which were very tasty. We shared an order of garlic fries as an appetizer and a wedge salad. Both were very well prepared and again quite tasty. My wife had a petit filet and I had the ribeye both cooked medium rare. They came with sauces but both steaks were so well seasoned and cooked they didn’t need the sauces. What I loved was the touch of smoke they cook into the meat which really brings the flavor out. We shared the zucchini side. We will be going back to The Rex but I do have to warn you the quality does come at a price. The dinner was quite pricy even given how good the service and food was. My only true complaint is at the prices they charge a $45 corkage fee for wine is excessive and not necessary. We will return but it’s a special occasion level cost for us.

Everything was amazing 10/10 experience I would definitely be back, it’s great for every occasion as well and also a plus that it’s by the beach

Exceptional service and a high quality steak that has been missing from our South Bay Area. One of the best Ribeye steaks I’ve ever been treated to.

Great service and food. The beef tartare was wonderful with an Asian flavor ( soy sauce and wasabi?) Berger perfectly cooked medium-rare.

My wife and I love going to The Rex for our date nights. Yesterday was our 4th wedding anniversary and we chose The Rex. It was an amazing experience as always.

Second time coming to the Rex, We loved it so much that we decided to come back and celebrate father's day. If you enjoy a great cocktail and a delicious steak cooked over fired there is no better place in the South Bay than the Rex. It has a great selection of cuts and an extended wine list. We want to thank Francisco our server for an excellent service.

The staff very friendly. Noise level very high making it difficult to converse with folks at your own table. Food was good to very good though the most expensive steak I’ve ever had. We ordered the Cowboy special which was a 20 ounce ribeye at medium rare. It was very rare and lots of marbling. Lots. Everything was ala carte so with a couple cocktails and 23 glasses of by the glass wine and dessert the bill came to 350. Steep but again service was very good. Just be ready to bucket list this dinner.
