Welcome to The Rex Seaside Steakhouse.

A neighborhood steakhouse using seasonal and quality ingredients to bring flavor and hospitality to Redondo Beach. Join us in our dining room every night or our Drift Cocktail Lounge on Friday and Saturdays for a night to remember.

Intentionally sourced with an eye for quality, we offer USDA Prime, Miyazaki A5 Japanese Wagyu, and American Wagyu. All are steaks are cooked to perfection over our white oak fire.

Family-owned and operated, we strive to off a one-of-a-kind luxury experience with all the charm of a neighborhood restaurant.

We enjoyed an exceptional experience at the Rex for our wedding anniversary! Service was stellar at every point of contact with everyone acknowledging our event. Incredible food as always, this evening’s delight included shrimp cocktail (grilled!), the wedge salad (huge and fresh), a wonderful filet mignon and a truly special tour of wagyu! A memorable night that was made special by the Rex! Most highly recommended.

Always a great experience when I go to the Rex. Definitely my favorite restaurant in Southern California. Hands down.

Went to celebrate anniversary; our steaks were cooked perfectly and waiter was very pleasant and attentive. Food took a bit longer to get to us but it was worth it and recommend the Rex.

The experience at The Rex was overall very nice. My only complaint is that the service took along time, when our server was sat a large party of women. I felt he spent a lot more time at their table then needed, while we waited. Other than that, the night was great! The waiter was very nice and knowledgeable, he just needed to manage time a little better.

Our first visit to The Rex for our anniversary, and it was a memorable one. Our waiter , Kyle, did a great job and was always pleasant and professional. He was knowledgeable about the selections and added extra info if we asked. The manager was also kind enough to tour us through the other 2 levels so that we could see what an amaizing place that The Rex is. We enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. We will be returning soon.

Lovely service and experience for our 25th wedding anniversary. They really made us feel special. Waiter came by just the perfect amount and interacted with us the perfect amount.

This was my second time dining at The Rex seaside steakhouse and both times the meal and dining experience was excellent. The filet mignon was prepared as ordered and was high quality. We were seated near the bar area and the service was still great and attentive.

Superb. What a great evening. Our sommelier was sensational. Our bread was wonderful. The wedge salad killed. Terrific New York steak.

An outstanding experience from minute one to walking out the door. The staff was amazing, thoughtful, and thorough. I was celebrating an anniversary and upon seating, was presented with a card signed by all staff. Our server, Angela, was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and accommodated all requests. Zack provided us with excellent wine service and entertaining conversation. The food was superb. We ordered the filet, Mac n Cheese, broccolini, and budino. I will be back to experiment with the cocktail menu and seasonal specials. A definite must if you enjoy steak with all the fixings, paired with an exceptional service experience.
