    Hiya! I'm sorry for the miscommunication with your server, it wasn't that we cancelled the Thursday night promotion, we just ran out very, very quickly last week. We started the night a little light on inventory but nothing too bad (or so I thought). Then the first couple of groups went deep and wiped us out in the first hour. Anyway, we bumped up the order and buck-a-shuck will roll on.

    What a disaster. We ordered appetizers and two entrees. The server, let’s call her “awesome sauce” for anonymity, kept saying “awesome sauce.” One minute later another server brought out our entrees. They skipped the appetizers. We wanted the appetizers but the server said they just leave the food in the kitchen until we were ready. Obviously the entrees were for another ticket but they put them in our table and it was too late. Our planned night out took 23 min. We felt rushed and it ruined our meal, other than having a case study about terrible service. What should have happened, if the owner is reading, is that awesome sauce should have taken the food back and thrown it out or sent it to another table waiting for the same entree, not offer to keep it under a warmer. It put us in a very awkward spot. No way we come back. The food was mediocre but we couldn’t really focus on it.

    Excellent all around; Fantastic bar presence, great selection of spirits. Friendly engaging staff. Very good food and varied menu. My favorite place in Chestertown.

    Excellent food beautifully presented! Server was able to clearly describe gluten free options. Nice drink selection.

    A wonderful Scallop and Avocado Ceviche and nice selection of craft beer. A quiet dining room with extremely comfortable armchair seating. The burger was good, not great - too well done, and not enough cheese - great "bistro" sauce. The rest rooms are excellent. Looking at the very dirty windows to the courtyard was unpleasant.

    Shrimp and grits were best ever! Great margaritas too. All the food looked great.

    We both had the Lobster Roll and they were delicious with plenty of lobster on really wonderful rolls . They came with French fries that had a dusting of some sort of spice/dehydrated cheese blend - they were the best fries I've had in a long time! There was also a small side of very good cole slaw. To drink, we had water but also opted for an extremely nicely priced bottle of sparkling rosé Cava - talk about a perfect summer meal!!!

    From the moment you open the door, you will know you picked the right place. The attention to the details is wonderful. The Retriever bar is fantastic… the oyster selection and servers knowledge of each oysters essence is superb. I had the lamb street tocos and my partner the lobster roll. Terrific!!! The craft cocktails we enjoyed were equally superb…. Even the quality of the chairs and barstools made you feel perfectly at home…. We were only disappointed by the coleslaw, very disappointed! Maybe we were there on an off night. It appeared to be homemade, but didn’t live up to the excellent character of this great experience!
