   The Retreat: Lake Wateree Dining outdid themselves last night. The Taste of Italy was absolutely phenomenal!!! We had a great time with our neighbors and of course service by Olivia was top notch !!!

   The Retreat is like having dinner with family - Heather and Blake have created a warm, cozy atmosphere that is welcoming to neighbors, locals and newbies. The staff goes above and beyond to cater to everyone. We enjoy meeting friends and also new people. It is just one of my all time favorites.

   This is the definition of an "hidden gem" lol. It's 30-45 from me and we had to travel down a couple roads off the beaten path to get there, but it was worth it. My wife and I were very satisfied with our meals. She got the Salmon and I had the Swordfish. Both entrees were top notch even though we got there an hour before close. (Most restaurants' food quality decline the closer you get to closing hours, in my opinion) The greatest part of our visit was Izzy though. She was a delight as a server. Very attentive and helpful in answering questions about the menu. I can't rave about her enough. @The Retreat at Ridgeway I hope you know the value she brings to your establishment. If you're thinking about dining here, i would come before nightfall. You will get a better view of the lake, and I feel that adds to the ambiance. We will try coming earlier the next time we visit.

   Outstanding from start to finish. Top notch service, excellent wine, cocktails mixed perfectly, appetizers and entrees were some of the best we’ve had in a long time. This place is in our top 3.

   Tried this place for Valentines Day. The food was absolutely delicious!! It's a long drive for me, an hour from home, but definitely worth it for a special occasion!

   Overall great dinner and cocktails. The prices are worth the amount of food you get. Waitress was very attentive and the chef was accommodating to substituting sides. TVs visible with sports without that being the main focus. Great atmosphere. Already have another reservation when I am back in town!

   We go to The Retreat about every other month or so. It's about five minutes from our home so it's super convenient, but it's also super good every time! We love that the menu changes often so it's always a new experience. We recommend The Retreat to anyone who asks about great places to dine around the area.

    Not only did we have a beautiful view of Lake Wateree and excellent service, but we had a fantastic meal as well.
