Located in Halifax House, in the heart of the busy commercial district on Brunswick Street, The Restaurant Bar & Grill in Liverpool creates an impression as soon as guests walk through the former old banking hall doors. The noise is torture it's impossible to have a proper conversation, so do not go on a Saturday night if you want to have a conversation with your co guests. It is definitely for the younger crowd. which is fine, I just wish we would have known in advance, we were a table of 6 all over 65, I would have thought the staff would have gave us a table in a area less noisy. Honestly, it spoilt our entire evening. Lesson learned never visit Bar and grill on a Saturday evening. I don't know what is like through the week, maybe a bit more of a relaxing ambience. Saturday was just frenetic, madness. The staff were very polite and helpful but obviously the kitchen was struggling. We waited a very long time for each course. We sat down at 5.30pm and the first starter was served at 7 pm. My friend finished his starter and the rest of us got ours at 7.30, I had chicken skewers which were like cardboard! I couldn't eat them. My main course was good, dessert was another long wait, it was 9pm by then, we had been sat since 5.30 pm.

We love the staff, the attention and the atmosphere at Liverpool Bar and Grill! Drinks were nice and our waitress’Grace’ was excellent! My wife had fish and chips and enjoyed it .. it was perfect! I had the more expensive rib-eye steak. The chips were perfect however the steak was O.K., but not very good overall and certainly not of the standard or quality we are used to! It was flavoursome or succulent and lacked good texture!! We didn’t complain because it proved acceptable and quite honestly I had ate over 50% of it by the time we were asked if our meals were ok so just acknowledged with a brief nod! We are not complainers and don’t like making a fuss!

We hsd a lovely evening We were served by Grace who was excellent and recommended my two dishes a starter and main course which were delicious ! We will return !

It’s an amazing venue, very spacious and a good vibe for a Tuesday. Once the food was correct it was delicious; loved the poached egg and asparagus. One dish was burnt and had to be re-cooked it should not have been served, we had an incorrect drink order, the bill was incorrect and the toilets were very messy.

Chateaubriand was beautiful, service was great, very busy as it was Saturday night, so noisy in the main room, but a little better for conversation in the front room. Overall a very enjoyable experience

Took my son and his friends for a Graduation Meal about 2 years ago. Had a fantastic meal. Returned with my wife and son yesterday evening and the meal wasn't as goid. The menu had changed and the ribs weren't the same. Last time they were simply splendid. Thus time they were a different flavour and the meat was softer, nearly to tender. The menu was limited as it was mainly steak/ beef. Not may pasta or chicken dishes. Was a wee bit disappointed as its quite expensive.

Great food ribeye steaks was cooked to perfection service was great very friendly staff celebration meal for our wedding anniversary free glass of Prosecco each nice touch from the restaurant we always eat at the bar and grill restaurant when we are in town great atmosphere the staff are always friendly and very professional and most of all the food is delicious.
