                                                                Disappointed. First time we’ve eaten there. Handy for the theatre but food was average and overpriced. Main beef plate served lukewarm with no vegetables, these cost extra. The combination of beef, celeriac and sauce not ideal for my digestive system..

                                                                This is by far the absolute best Sunday Lunch I've ever had in a restaurant. The food & service was amazing. The venue is stunning & I was surprised how reasonably priced it was. Highly recommended & will def be returning.

                                                                Attended for a friends 50th birthday, details of which were included in the booking. When we arrived the waitress confirmed it was for a birthday celebration. The food was fabulous and arrived quickly. I asked for a glass of rose pinot grigio but received a glass of white pinot grigio. Was pointed out to waitress who then agreed not to charge for it and returned with the correct drink. Only disappointment was no mention made to my friend about her birthday and we had specifically chosen Refuge to make it extra special. We still had a lovely time though.

                                                                This is the second time I have eaten here and will definitely be going back. The atmosphere, room, food and service is all excellent. Good value for money and Ebony our server was really attentive. Good selection of food available - all in all a very enjoyable eating experience which I am looking forward to doing again soon!

                                                                It’s a shame as I had the meal booked in for such a long time and we knew we wanted to go for the show menu. When we arrived it took over 20 mins to get drink orders and felt like one waitress was deliberately ignoring us when trying to make eye contact. We were told to not order to show menu for 3 people cus of wastage, I think this needs to be communicated on the menu how many people it serves. Again no run up on how our food was and took ages for drinks to arrive, I had to pre-empt the bill as we had a show at the palace theatre which we made be the skin of our teeth. The expense wasn’t worth it for the over all service received. Disappointing to say the least

                                                                The waiting staff were very friendly but the reservation desk were rude - no niceties or recognition of who we were despite 10 minutes prior telling us to wait at the bar. When you pay a decent amount for a meal I feel that a basic level of customer service should be shown.

                                                                We arrived and the restaurant was quiet but had many staff wandering around. Some food came quickly, other plates we had a 30 min wait. Most of the food was cold, considering it’s such a big venue, the plates should always be warmed so food is warm when it arrives. Had to ask 2 times for our other food to come and then when it did, our additional portion of chips didn’t arrive and then that was a wait. Desserts were lovely and punctual. Other details missing like asking us if we would like more drinks or offering more table water. Funnily enough, paying for the food was quick. A shame as the staff were trying but think there is a real lack of training and considering the price and venue, you expect decent service.

                                                                It was a quiet lunch so enjoyable. Portions could be maybe 25/30% larger at little cost and provide increased satisfaction. Staff were a little disinterested and disingenuous.
