The food was incredible! The best steak my husband has ever had. The service by Kaylynn was friendly yet professional. She was very helpful explainingthe menu items and knowledgeable about everything. The room had a lovely ambiance, but you do need a jacket or sweater since the room is kept at a cool temperature for the wine storage.

We had dinner in the Annex, understated elegance! Nice selection for dinner. Fish done to perfection! Wine service, including tastings before ordering, was excellent and there was a wide choice including many local varieties. A lovely dinner, elegant yet not fussy, in a beautiful country inn.

Nice setting, good service, gnocchi and puff pastry were very good, salad and calamari were uninspiring, calamari had no grill marks on it, tasted somewhat rubbery.

What a beautiful experience. The waiter was very attentive to our needs and the food was excellent. We did the table d’hôte and was not disappointed. We were there for about 2 hours.

Other than the striploin which was a bit tough and dry, the experience was terrific. Excellent service, nice ambiance on the screened porch, delicious soup, amazing Arctic char special, beautiful presentation of our special happy anniversary dessert all combined to deliver a wonderful evening! Thank you, Merrill House team!

Our meal at Merrill House was outstanding. We did the individual wine pairings with each course which introduced us to some great PEC wines. The sommelier, great fun, educated us on how different food characteristics (e.g. spice) can change the character of a wine. The portions were quite substantial, more than expected, and presentation beautiful. This was definitely an expensive meal, but well worth it!

The conservatory dining area could do with some TLC but don’t let that detract from the really good food and exceptional service.
