Originally built in 1766, the Restaurant at Meander is part of the picturesque Inn--- a 12 room bed and breakfast that sits on 80 acres of land at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Open to the public, this historic Virginia inspired restaurant offers classic dinning that is paired with wine and craft beer from the state of Virginia, Thursday - Saturday evenings from 6-9pm (last seating 8:30pm).

                                          We have been going to Meander Inn for almost 20 years. During Covid it went through some rough patches but we are so excited that it is back up to par. A new general manager (Daniel) started a number of months ago and he has been busy getting things sorted. There is a new(ish) chef as well. All told we are pleased to report that the standards are back! We are looking forward to trying breakfast!

                                          We truly enjoyed our day at the Inn at Meander. It was in a beautiful and peaceful setting where it almost felt like you were stepping back in time. We had a nice tour before dinner where we learned about the history of the Inn and then were seated outdoors to dine and take in the views. Our meal was delicious and service was great. Would definitely recommend!

                                          Meander is a bit off the beaten path, but it’s totally worth it. My wife and I tried it out recently and really enjoyed ourselves. The inn and restaurant are in an old plantation house built in the 1700s. George Washington and Thomas Jefferson both spent time at Meander so if you like history you’ll be delighted. Dinner was outdoors on the patio the night we dined. It’s rustic, which just feels right with the house. Service was casual and friendly but very efficient. A musician was playing quietly. We had scallops, rabbit, salmon & potato pancake, coco cream de pot, and bread putting. It was all very good, but the scallops and the bread pudding really stood out. All in all, a wonderful dining experience. Enjoy!

                                          The food was fantastic with some of the best views of the blue ridge if you sit outside. Daniel, the general manager is great and all the staff were super helpful.

                                          This was Virginia on display. From the greeting, to the service, to the excellently prepared locally sourced menu, plus a nice selection of craft brews and wines all from Virginia. Well worth the price of our three course prix fixe meal. A la carte and a four course prix fixe are also available. The ambiance will bring you back in time to a colonial manor house and you can stay a while as it's also a B&B. We'll be going back and highly recommend this establishment. May even stay a while.

                                          Truly a fine dining experience with incredible ambiance in a historical setting. Very with the drive and very reasonable cost for the memorable experience. We will come again!!!
