Enjoy a relaxed dining experience in a rustic, yet classy setting featuring historical photos on the creation of The Woodlands by oilman George Mitchell. Owners Terry & Jennifer McBurney offer guests a variety of Texan and Southern inspired cuisine complemented by professional and courteous service. Enjoy mouthwatering appetizers such as Crab Cakes, Coconut Shrimp, Jumbo Grilled Wings or Caprese. Entrees include American Wagyu Chicken-Fried Steak, Texas Quail, Certified Angus Steaks, Blackened Flounder unique Pasta dishes and Salads. End your meal with one of many scratch made Desserts including a gluten free Strawberry Shortcake.

Featured on the TV show GoodTaste, it has received rave reviews in the Houston Chronicle, Zagat, Open Table and PKWY Magazine. This restaurant even provides a relaxing patio where guests can enjoy live music depending on the season.

    Jamie was / is a super star on the wait staff! Personable, friendly and knowledgeable….(try the gumbo!). As always never disappointed.. quick service and great food. Wish they had some sort of ambient sound abatement, but that is why we always request a booth.. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

    Arrived early for our 11:45 am reservation, all booths were taken but there were plenty of tables open. Hostess took us to a table located right next to the swinging door where employees came in and out frequently. We declined. Then she took us to the first table as you come in — where everyone would pass — there were plenty of good open tables. We declined that seating also. Why are customers taken to the worst tables when there are many good open tables? We decided to eat at the bar where Carlos took exceptionally good care of us! Food was great — as usual. The fried okra was light and crisp, the Greek salad fresh and generous and the chicken fried chicken — perfect! Carlos saved the day!

    Continues to be a top dining spot in the Woodlands. The food is excellently curated with the local flavor perfectly done. The service remains impeccable (even with the new servers who seem to have imbibed the culture). I rarely give a “5” but a table linen mat push it to perfection.

    Wonderful service by Dulce!! We had the side salads , mussels, and dirty martinis! All were wonderful. This is our weekly go to place!!

    This was the first time I had a less than great experience here. Normally everything is great. The waitress this time was not very attentive. There was a forgotten appetizer and she didn’t take ownership of it. She simply said “there was a delay”. The meal came out and we asked about it and that was the reply. Usually you would be apologetic and say we will go grab it now, we are so sorry, what else can we do to right this, etc. Just a strange experience this time around.

    We have not had a bad experience in all the YEARS we have been coming here. Tonight was no exception. In fact, they had a musician playing tonight and he was very good, playing old rock songs from Nirvana, Aerosmith, Red Hot Chili Peppers. Good choice! Hope to see him again, more often.

    Our food and drinks were delicious! We go to Republic Grille every week. This week, Chris , was our server and did a wonderful job! Very friendly and attentive to our needs! We would’ve added a wonderful review on Trip Advisor as well but they only let us add one review a month!
