Welcome to The Red Oak Restaurant, we are available for dine-in and patio seating as well as curbside pickup. If you would like to order for pickup please call 262-857-8588.

We specialize in carefully prepared local and seasonal cuisine served in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Firmly rooted in southeastern Wisconsin, The Red Oak celebrates the richness of the area by crafting dishes and drinks from locally grown produce, humanely raised animals, and locally produced artisanal cheeses, beers and spirits.

We had a delicious meal. The broiled walleye was especially good. Katie, our server, was friendly and helpful. A lovely evening!

The food is always excellent except the server we had this time was not. We had to keep asking for little things that make your meal complete. We needed to ask for more coffee , more butter, some syrup and of course salt and pepper. I just don’t understand why restaurants can’t leave some condiments on the table, especially if the server is too busy to attend. Our server would bring one thing at a time then another it was just ridiculous.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great restaurant. Service was wonderful. The only thing I would point out, is either their breadsticks were stale or not cooked all the way through. Also, I had their crostini a couple weeks ago, the bread was almost inedible, it was hard but chewy you needed a knife to cut it and then trying to chew it was difficult. The whitefish was absolutely amazing and that asparagus appetizer was to die for. They also have the Best drink menu around, sooo many options!

The Friday Fish portions were quite small, the baked fish was dry and lukewarm at best, the deep-fried cod was excellent with a light breading and flakey fish. The coleslaw was warm for some reason. The homemade applesauce was barely warm. French fries were fresh and great tasting. The wine glass was "cloudy." The included appetizer at the Red Oak is a stem glass of homemade breadsticks, which we've always looked forward too, but we got only 2 1/2 stale sticks and had to request a second serving, which seemed fresh. Excellent Korbel Old Fashioned. Our server was great. A 20% gratuity is included in your bill. A $67 fish fry.

We love this restaurant and will keep if at the top of our choices. However, we did have to wait for an hour to get our meal as there was a huge table before us and the kitchen was busy. It would have been nice to get the warning that it might take a while and would we like an appetizer or bread.
