Welcome to The Red Oak Restaurant, we are available for dine-in and patio seating as well as curbside pickup. If you would like to order for pickup please call 262-857-8588.

We specialize in carefully prepared local and seasonal cuisine served in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Firmly rooted in southeastern Wisconsin, The Red Oak celebrates the richness of the area by crafting dishes and drinks from locally grown produce, humanely raised animals, and locally produced artisanal cheeses, beers and spirits.

We arrived for our 8pm reservation at 7:30 on a busy NYE. We were seated at 7:45 at a table for two in the middle of a walkway. Two women that were bussing tables LITERALLY rubbed their behinds on our table. Two servers bumped us as they passed. We asked to be moved, and our server did make another table available. After moving, our server didn't return for 15 more minutes and at that time we placed our drink, appetizer and entrees at that time. Our drinks were delivered a few minutes later. Our server didn't return until almost 8:45 to just tell us our appetizer would be out shortly. It did arrive, and it was good. After that, around 9:10 a runner delivered someone's food to us. I had to get up and go find the server to get the error corrected. In retrospect, we should have eaten what they brought. Our server returned to the table at 9:15 to tell us our food was almost ready, but at that point we told her we would be leaving. We did not take what was allegedly prepared. The server did return with our bill for the drinks and our appetizer....really? We were looking forward to a great start for 2025, but instead we went home and ate leftovers.

Food and service was excellent as always. The price was good and what we expected. The only flaw was I asked for no mushrooms on my burger and it came with mushrooms. Still, I would recommend the Red Oak to anyone.

Ashley our server took the time to tell us about the concept of the restaurant. Food was good. There is a nice gluten free menu. Nice and cozy ambiance

Unfortunately, this time around, half our food was cool and needed to be sent back for warming. There were six in our party, and we had to wait a bit for our entrees, too. Our server was very accommodating, though a tad bit flustered. We will try again in a couple of months. Also, they were not overly busy, so we didn’t feel as though that contributed to it. One couple who came in after us received their food before us.

Cozy atmosphere, delicious food, and excellent service from start to finish. I especially love that they source many of the foods they prepare from local farmers/small businesses and support the 3 principles of sustainability. I highly recommend The Red Oak Restaurant and very much look forward to dining here again in the near future.

Great dinner for the 6 of us!! Everyone enjoyed their respective meals. Bar service was and server was very spoken hard to hear her. It didn’t ruin any part of the evening.

Normally excellent. Meat and fish were both overdone. They were out of our favorite thing from the menu. We went in because it was the last night of the menu but it seemed like they were just getting rid of whatever was left.
