The Red Lion Restaurant is a great traditional, warm & friendly country pub in the heart of stunning Penyffordd.

HOMEMADE SUNDAY LUNCH

Join us from 12pm to 7pm every Sunday for one of the best homemade Sunday lunches in the region. Hand cut, fresh and locally sourced vegetables & meats complimented by homemade gravy’s and sides.

SPRING MENU

We are thrilled to launch our new Spring Menu, Lounge Menu and our new & improved Sunday Menu as well as our weekly Chef's Specials Menu.

Our Main Menu, Lounge Menu & Chef's Specials Menu will be available

~ Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 5pm - 9pm

~ Friday & Saturday 12pm - 9pm

Head Chef Steve Crewe has created our Spring Menu with customer favourite dishes new & old.

Very nice Sunday dinner, everything very hot in temperature of the food. Relaxed atmosphere, decor very warming, staff try hard

Another excellent Sunday Dinner.. A friend joined us and she was equally impressed. Never fails to please. Look forward to our next visit. The service is alwsays attentive and friendly.

Really wanted to give this 5 stars as had been highly recommended but sadly service really let it down. We booked a table for 3 at 6pm 2 adults 1 child. Starters came out promptly asked for our child’s main to come out with starters this took a little while to come after we received our starters, Then our mains took a while to come out, by the time our mains came our daughter had finished her main so we asked her an ice cream Sunday for her and also ketchup for our main. We never received the ketchup. By the time the ice cream Sunday came out we had finished our mains and waited for another 20 minutes for the ice cream Sunday to arrive. We were never offered dessert ourselves. The food was truly exceptional, we couldn’t fault any of our dishes, just the service like it down. It wasn’t just our table who received bad service 2 other tables around us waited a long time. And I watched a child wait over 50 minutes before receiving anything.

Dining room was lovely, food was really nice. Some of the service girls could of smiled a bit more. One dropped something as she cleared the table & a few of our guests ended up with coleslaw over them or coats, accidents happen but an apology would of been nice & asked if we needed a cloth. But, we did enjoy the food, very nice 🙂

Our Sunday Roast was excellent. The portion and quality were outstanding, as always, as was delivered in a friendly manner. . Highly recommended.

It was a Wednesday early evening and very quiet. Food is very good, hot, and good portions. Our main meals were served, and we sat for a few mins before our fresh cutlery was brought to us having had starters. A minor point and the food was very hot so it was fine. Would go back.

We had a lovely meal for a special birthday at The Red Lion, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent. The food was lovely all brought out at the same time as we were a large group and all meals were hot. The portion sizes were great and plenty of choice on the menu.
