What an amazing pub in a medieval village! The Sunday roast was amazing. Service was superb, pudding and coffees were just as good. Only mention would be the cauliflower cheese was a bit too hard and the cheese a bit too runny. But not enough for less than 4.5 stars. Will book again when next near the area. Happy Sunday

Lovely Sunday dinner. Really enjoyable. Roast beef and the lamb were execellent. Service was very good & everyone was very welcoming. The only criticism was the children’s meals were a little on the small size, could have been a little more generous. But we are looking forward to coming back.

Six of us had a great Sunday Lunch at the Red Lion today. Would like to thank the lady and young man who served us - really welcoming and were quick to take our orders. The menu is limited on a Sunday but the food was outstanding. Would recommend the pork medallions to start and the roast beef was 10/10 - great beef and top roast potatoes! The team brought out bowls of greens and 2 large jugs of gravy which is always a winner. Thank you to the team for looking after us - we will return!

Refurbished environment and new menu truly superb: really excellent evening. We had the oven baked Hake and The sea bream with fennel. Flawless cooking, wonderful flavours, generous portions. Wine list and beers were excellent. The staff were so professional and welcoming. It’s a beautiful old building with updated furniture. Thoroughly recommend for couples or groups of friends.

Made a booking online via OpenTable had heard good things and was our first visit turned up and told there was no food left!! Would suggest you update your online availability if you cannot cater for booking to save people a wasted journey

The food and staff were lovely, had a lovely meal, had no cash and they couldn't add tip to my bill so felt bad that I couldn't tip. Facilities were clean and really lovely would definitely recommend

Throughly enjoyed the red lion. The outside kitchen, giant smokers and grill set up are amazing. Beautiful garden, very comfortable and relaxing setting. Staff are lovely, food was amazing, we will definitely be returning
