Lovely to have another pub in our village that does excellent food. The pub is under new management - what a difference. Very stylish decor and amazing food. Will definitely be going again.

Nice pub, Roast lamb and all the trimmings were excellent,cooked perfectly, best apple crumble as well!It lacked service no one asked if we wanted a drink so then went up the bar to order, no one checked if our food was all ok ( they forgot the extra side) but saying all that the food was great so would definitely return.

It's a shame the service was awful. We sat for 10 minutes without menus and struggled to get the attention of the staff to place our order. The front-of-house team needs training and should learn to scan the room and show interest in their clients. However, the food was exceptional. The starters were lovely, and the all-meat roast dinner was one of the best I've had in recent years—the gravy is to die for. If they can improve the service, this place could become a great go-to spot.

It was a lovely visit for a family birthday. We had the Sunday menu, which didn’t disappoint. All enjoyed their roast (lamb, beef and pork), and the starters and desserts were excellent. The only minor point would be serving the prawn cocktail in a more suitable bowl. It wasn't easy to eat, although it was delicious. I am looking forward to our next visit, which will be soon.

The service and food was amazing. Best Ribeye I’ve had, worth every penny. The chips were like railway sleepers, huge and perfectly cooked. Would highly recommend.

Really disappointing. Was given the Monday - Friday lunch menu on a Saturday so not what we went there for and was told that out of the 4 main course options they only had 2. No explanation no apology. Had a sandwich, it was fine nothing special. Had a 1 o’clock lunch reservation and by the time we finished eating other diners were being served the full menu so even more disappointing to see the food we went there to eat and be told we couldn’t. 2 of us had desserts which were good better than the sandwiches. I had a coffee but one of us asked for decaf and another thing they didn’t have. Overall would t go back to try the full menu if they had it due to atmosphere. Not for me.

Our third trip and we enjoyed it as much as the first. The food is outstanding, great value. Love what the new owners have done to the pub it’s a relaxed atmosphere very bright and welcoming.

Disappointing first visit. Big BBQ in garden on a sunny spring Saturday and there was a constant train of semi drunk garden customers squeezing through the restaurant asking us to pull our chairs in for them to pass to use the toilets which are in the restaurant. Not the ambiance we expected for £40 per head. Food was very ordinary . Fillet steak was not brilliant considering they specialise in steaks. I was amazed when the adjoining table asked the waiter to go through the special steak blackboard menu but when asked what a Porterhouse steak was, he had to go into the kitchen to ask! We had high hopes for this as we live locally but probably won’t return mainly due to the ambiance. The restaurant is directly next to the pub bar and we were drowned out by a group who had clearly been sitting at the bar for hours and the sound carried into the restaurant. Really surprised that the staff made no attempt to reduce the noise.

Food was delicious everything that everyone had was spot on . Had really 3 sort of grades of pricing. You have a pub menu which was good value. Fish menu was a little more expensive but fish was excellent, then steak menu. The seats are comfy with all the wood can be a bit echoey. But overall an excellent visit and highly recommend it.
