Welcome to The Red Lion Bishopgate!

We serve fresh, locally sourced food all day, everyday. Our head chef Tom has created a menu suitable for everyone, including GF, Vegan, Vegetarian options.
Brunch is also available 7 days a week, 10:00am-12 noon (11:30am on Sundays). Please see below our food serving times:

Monday - Thursday: 12:00-20:00
Friday & Saturday: 12:00-21:00
Sunday: 12:00-16:00, followed by a pop up from Blues NR3 by the river (please note we will not be serving roasts during the summer).
We always leave some tables free, so if you can't make a booking just pop in to see if you can grab a table!

Please note, your booking is allocated for 2 hours.

Tables in the garden are rain proof and we do have heating, but may not be suitable in heavy rain.

Lovely pub by the river. Able to sit inside or out Food was of very good quality & good service. Overall a good place to meet up with friends for an overdue catch up

This is not the first time we have been I Red Lion, but the first time we've stayed for food. On all occasions, the staff have seemed very miserable and not welcoming. Given the repetition in their presentation, I'm presuming it's bad management rather than permanently dour staff. And the food was a joke, soooo over priced, poorly presented and lacking. The only plus was the waitressing staff and thale fact we could see the river. Wont be returning, not even for a pint on a warm day

Lovely pub along the river edge in Norwich, plenty of space and good choice of ales and wine, food was outstanding.

Lots of items not available on the food menu and the risotto that I had was cold and very stodgy. The meal was saved by some nice desserts and the service was good.

Very chilled 👌 Good food and service. After lunch sat outside overlooking the river for drinks and soaking in the sunshine 🌞 We have been 3 times now and have had a very good experience each time. Do book a table though if you want food and be guaranteed of a table.

Booked for a birthday meal, lovely food, friendly and attentive staff. Beautiful decorated and a nice atmosphere inside. Also love sitting outside by the river when it isn’t raining!
