Welcome to The Red Lion Bishopgate!

We serve fresh, locally sourced food all day, everyday. Our head chef Tom has created a menu suitable for everyone, including GF, Vegan, Vegetarian options.
Brunch is also available 7 days a week, 10:00am-12 noon (11:30am on Sundays). Please see below our food serving times:

Monday - Thursday: 12:00-20:00
Friday & Saturday: 12:00-21:00
Sunday: 12:00-16:00, followed by a pop up from Blues NR3 by the river (please note we will not be serving roasts during the summer).
We always leave some tables free, so if you can't make a booking just pop in to see if you can grab a table!

Please note, your booking is allocated for 2 hours.

Tables in the garden are rain proof and we do have heating, but may not be suitable in heavy rain.

Another lovely evening at the Red Lion with family having a meal and good wine. Food was excellent and service 1st class.

Love this pub. Relaxed vibe but always fairly busy. The food was lovely. Chicken and chorizo pasta and the buttermilk chicken burger were exquisite. Thank you for the great service too.

Brought out wrong meal so my partner was eating hers while I had to wait for mine to be cooked

Popular venue in Norwich. Lovely location on the river. Service very cheerful and efficient. Not an extensive menu but all nicely cooked.

We've been several times lately, lovely sitting outside by the river. Very good menu, plenty of choice and a good range of ales. Seafood platter very good.

Perfect Summer's evening by the river. The staff were friendly and helpful and the pub had a nice vibe, food and beer selection was good and we look forward to coming back.

My previous meals there have been fabulous. However, We both ordered a Caesar Salad, sadly, it wasn't the best by any means. The large lettuce leaves were dumped in a small bowl, along with the most tasteless chopped up breaded chicken fillet with a few miniscule bacon lardons. I couldn't tell if there were any parmesan shavings. We did mention the lettuce and we were offered an apology and a free coffee each,which was ok. We will not be rushing back!

Last min lunch bank holiday booking. We were a bit early, but got seated at a table outside by the river, nothing was too much trouble. It's a Small menu, and we ordered from the "Nibbles", it was all delicious, good size portions and hot.

A great experience from start to finish. Excellent service from young lady. Superb steak and a lovely table overlooking the river!
