Fondée en 1728, la taverne historique The Red Fox Inn & Tavern accueille les habitants et les voyageurs à Middleburg, aussi bien pour profiter de déjeuners copieux, que de dîners décontractés ou encore d'intimes soupers aux chandelles, dans la plus pure tradition de Virginie.     Our server Brenden was amazing. He knew the menu so well and was very kind. We had a nut and black pepper allergy at our table and the chefs/waiters were very accommodating. The food was amazing and the flavors were perfect. It is a beautiful hotel and we will definitely be going back.

    We came to celebrate my wife's birthday. We did the four course menu with the wine pairing. The food quality and preparation were outstanding. Where we were left disappointed was in the portions. For example, they took a standard sized meatball for the meatball appetizer and cut it in half. You maybe got two bites of meatball out of it. For the duck entree, they gave four small slices of duck breast. I really can't recommend the wine pairing. They told us up front that they were 1/2 glass pours, but it really seemed like less than that. I would come back and eat upstairs at the a la carte restaurant, but I can't see us doing the four course meal again. Total cost for two was about $550 w/tip.

    Very nice meal in a quiet and gracious setting. The staff was enthusiastic and skilled. The food was nicely prepared and presented and the menu had lots of interesting choices. Also worked well for those with dietary restrictions.

    We had a 4:30 reservation, so the restaurant was understandably quiet. We were very disappointed in both the Chardonnay by the glass and the English Ale (which was carbonated!). The cauliflower and leak soup was quite bitter, but we did enjoy both the scallops and the lamb.
