The Red Cow pub is now run by a Top 50 gastro food an award-winning chef, who brings a wealth of culinary expertise to the kitchen, having spent five years as Head Chef at the award winning pub The Hole In The Wall in Little Wilbraham, Cambridge before moving on to become Head Chef at The Elm Tree Inn, Elm, Cambridgeshire .

Tryfun’s reputation for creating immaculately presented and flavourful dishes helped both pubs to gain the most popular gastropubs in and around Cambridge.

We stayed at the Red Cow for 2 nights and ate in the restaurant twice. The staff were very attentive, observant and the food was delicious. If you get the chance to eat or stay here I'd definitely recommend it 😊

Had a great Sunday lunch with good friends. The roast beef was superb as was my husbands burger. There is a good wine list and a choice of beers. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent. We ate outside as it was warm but there is plenty of seating inside too. I would recommend the Red Cow to anyone.

Really well cooked steak and other meat dishes. We had a great family meal. The costs are moderate and the service excellent. The only slight negative was the small portions for the seafood boullabaise and the lamb curry. Overall really enjoyable we will certainly be back

Thoroughly enjoyable meal. Excellent menu and food beautifully cooked. The lunchtime we went the pub was very quiet but we didn't mind that at all.

Well kept country pub with good guest beers. Good seating area outside and cosy and comfortable inside Great attentive and helpful staff

Sunday lunch with friends and family was fantastic, the meat, the gravy, the vegetables and the Yorkshire pudding were all just perfect, they were well cooked but not spoilt, flavoursome and beautifully arranged on the plate. The service was attentive without being over bearing but also well timed and polite. There were five of us and we all had three courses which made for a very pleasant meal and time spent together in lovely surroundings.. Well done Red Cow, as good as you have always been. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, the quality of the food and wine was excellent. We had fishcake and field mushrooms to start - both delicious- followed by teriyaki chicken on Singapore noodles and rump of lamb curry. Both were very good and generous portions meant we couldn't manage dessert. It was an excellent evening and we will certainly be dining there again soon.

First visit to the Red Cow, tucked away off main roads in a small village. there will be more visits.
