Great experience in the outdoor patio. It has a very calm and serene atmosphere. Our hostess and waitress were extremely pleasant, friendly, polite, attentive and professional. The best pancakes ever!!! We had a relaxing breakfast. I highly recommend this place. Jennifer, our waitress, made sure we were well taken care of.

Gina (the general manager) and Carlo (our server) were amazing! They took care of us from the minute we arrived. From drinks to dinner. they made us feel like Luke we were the only customers they had. What a beautiful evening we had. Will be back!

We had a large group of 15 people for a professional meeting and I couldn’t be happier with the service. Claudia, Gina, and Leo were all perfection and made me look good in front of the guests and kept me within chosen budget. Can’t thank them enough.

We have a wonderful girls night out each month. The food is delicious. I had the scallops which were plentiful and filling. Thomas was our waiter and he, as always, was quick and personable. We had a fantastic evening.

We love this place we come here every chance we get when go to Pasadena. The service was outstanding and the food is amazing ! This is a cute little gem I’m happy we found .

We had brunch outside. It was a perfect morning. Carlos was our server and he is such a nice guy and very attentive even when we didn’t see him. He keeps his eyes on all his tables and is right there when he sees he’s needed. Love Carlos! I tried the avocado toast and it was really REALLY good. It wasn’t too much, but just right and served with delicious crispy potatoes. My partner and I shared a fruit plate - very fresh and refreshing. The ambience at The Raymond both inside and outside is cozy and inviting. Great place for brunch or dinner.

I recommend the Raymond for brunch, but dinner was a disappointment. As with many restaurants, The Raymond now charges for bread. For $8, we got a small loaf of bread that had an over baked and hard crust, and didn’t taste fresh, or was poorly made. It came with two flavored butters which were not good. As we were sat under a tree, a large bug happened to fall into one of the butters and i nearly mistook it for a dried herb. I ordered a glass of wine, and was offered two sizes. I do miss the days of restaurants not making a thing out of pouring a decent sized glass of wine. We ordered calamari, which was not of good quality. The cesar salad was okay, but overly dressed and the addition of artichokes was strange and clumsy. We shared short ribs which were tender and the flavor was ok. It came out luke warm. By this time we were not in the mood for dessert. The price for our shared dinner was $150, and we determined we could have had a much better experience at any number of restaurants for that price.

I hadn’t been to the Raymond for 30 years, because we live far from Pasadena. But we were out there for an event and I remembered always loving the restaurant and food! And 30 years later it’s the same!! Wonderful service! Great food! Lovely patio!! We had an amazing dinner and a fantastic dining experience!! Highly recommended!!
