Food is very good and everything seems freshly prepared. A little time waiting but wasn't a problem as we were not in a hurry. The food was exceptionally good and beautifully presented. The only reason for not giving top marks was that I expected a rack of lamb to be more than 3 short ribs which were very tasty but quite fatty. Maybe that's a usual serving of ribs? Overall we were very happy with the delicious meals.

It’s a pub that’s trying to be posh but it’s not working We did not like the look of any starters so we have hummus which was ok but needed a little more bread No wine list so we ordered a bottle of wine not knowing how much it would cost. One of us ordered the steak it was ok but only half of it had been sliced that was strange it was ok but worth £29 unsure the other ordered lamb and this was not worth £29 mainly fat max 3 cutlets very disappointing Pudding the only thing we were tempted with was the chocolate brownie which was delicious .. strawberry and basil cheesecake??? Maybe rethink the menu the item most ordered fish and chips…. Plainer choice for the more simple pallet Staff were lovely and we were disappointed not to be able to add a tip for them onto the bill

We had a lovely meal, full of flavour and were served promptly. Good Sunday choices. The drinks were nice and cool. Highly recommend.

Our risotto and pork belly were good but sadly the fish was a bit overcooked. I understand it was the chef ‘s first week so hopefully things will improve. Will certainly give it another try at some point.

Food was very good and brought out piping hot :) Only slight negative, there was no drinks menu available to review so you couldn't see what wines were availlable and prices.

Food was excellent: good portions, high quality and very well cooked. A little pricey but the staff were very willing and helpful if a little inexperienced. We'll certainly return : the village needs a good pub and it's up to all of us to help keep it going.

The service was positive with friendly staff. The food was absolutely delicious and clearly home cooked, and beautifully presented.

Excellent Sunday lunch. We tried the roast dinners, burgers and gorgeous summer greens risotto. Everything was delicious and great service too.
