I have been a longtime customer of the Queens. There’s a nice ambience and when we are there it was during the book festival so it was busy with plenty of atmosphere. The food offering is now poor compared with previous years. My husband ordered fish and chips - the chips were done on the outside, not cooked on the inside. My goats cheese salad was adequate but I have had much nicer salads. The dressing was basic, there were no walnuts and salad ingredients seemed cheap and not very fresh. Accompanying French fries were not hot. Kids chicken tenders and chips were okay - chicken tenders not same quality as most other places. All in all, food offering needs to massively improve before would consider eating there again. Staff were very friendly.

The newly renovated bar-restaurant looks stylish. The ambiance was sophisticated and relaxed. Staff were friendly and polite Will be back there soon

Service good but very disappointing standard of food at Queens this evening. Very limited menu and food quality was poor. Used to be a much better offering

Group of four for a match. Two of the group ordered burgers which were both raw. In fairness the kitchen made new burgers but eating raw mince isn't acceptable. Nothing offered in apology.

Went to Queens for Mother’s Day lunch, we might have just got it on a bad/busy day but unfortunately despite friendly food service staff we won’t be rushing back.

Booked a table for 4. Given a table which felt a bit exposed with other customers walking past. Not particularly busy. Could have been given a better table. Not a major gripe. Bar staff were friendly and service was good. Would go again.

Food was excellent but the service was outstanding. Our waitress was very friendly really added to a very relaxing evening.

Lunch date with some friends and it was perfect, delicious food, l had the smokies, my pals chose the fish & chips & the salmon all delicious. Only fault was no decaf coffee available! We arrived early so got free parking too 👍 I will be back.
