We booked a family meal, 13 of us in total. Usually bookings this size are turned away, but no, we were asked for pre-orders, which we did, with all allergies and tastes catered to, and everything arrived prefect. I'm other restaurants, larger parties usually mean tiny portions, but the portion size was exactly the same as when I have visited previously with just 2 of us. The food quality was A1, couldn't fault it. And the ladies on service were nothing short of fantastic. If you haven't visited The Queens before, it's a must if you are in or around Telford.

We’ve often been here before and have had nice meals but we were extremely disappointed with this visit. We were seated in a draughty area and had to ask to move. The food wasn’t brilliant- bread with the soup was from a sliced loaf, not the usual crusty bread, vegetables were colourless, consisting mostly of parsnips, with just four tiny slithers of carrots , one or two tiny beans and a couple of small slices of leeks. The gravy was tasteless. There were only four options for dessert, and nothing to get excited about at all. My husband asked for a pint of beer, and the server bought a glass of pinot for me instead. Then they ran out of Sunday roasts, at 4pm. One table picked from the limited alternatives (three or four choices), but another couple, who said they had booked a table in advance, got up and left. The wine I had wasn’t a very good quality, either. Definitely different to the usual one they serve as a house wine, and not very nice. If this had been our first visit, it would have been our last one. I really can’t tell you how disappointed we were. Yet we had attended a family wake there a couple of weeks earlier, and the buffet provided was really good! Not sure what’s happened, but we know that they can do better.

Had heard that the Sunday roast was really good at the Queens but we were disappointed. The beef was overdone and so were the roast potatoes. The vegetables were barely roasted. The mash was Luke warm. The menu stated served in a Yorkshire pudding but it wasn’t and was tiny and distinctly average. Really disappointed and not worth the money.

Had a wonderful evening meal here, the food was lovely and a lovely setting. Staff all very pleasant and helpful.

Another lovely meal tonight a midweek treat. Hubby had his favourite Fish & Chips and I opted for the fish of the day from the specials . The fish was like a whale and lovely and white on the inside with a delicate batter, served with chips and peas. My specials choice was pan fried Salmon with champ mash and prawn and garlic butter sauce . It was cooked perfectly and delicious. Staff are superb here and very friendly and hardworking. See you again soon!

We found our way to the bar. We were greeted by a very pleasant member of staff. Once our drinks order was fulfilled we were taken to our table in the conservatory. Once seated we were given enough time to peruse the menu. Our food arrived in a timely manner and we were given plenty of time to enjoy it. The food was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were great. The service was great. The food was great. The ambience was great. We will definitely be back.
