A beautifully designed pub with dining, bar, private feasting rooms, stunning gardens by Jinny Blom and four individually designed bedrooms in the heart of Notting Hill. The acclaimed chef, Ben Tish, has created a menu inspired by the diverse cooking styles of the gloriously sun-drenched Mediterranean way of life, as well as a focus on seasonality and bountiful British produce. The Princess Royal is dog friendly in the pub & bar area only, not in our conservatory or restaurant.

Join us at The Princess Royal in Notting Hill for our bi-weekly Seafood Paella Night from 7pm. Savour the aromas and taste of freshly cooked paella prepared on the terrace in traditional pans by our chefs, every two weeks. When you book for this experience, you will be seated in our garden terrace. Please kindly note, this space is weather dependant and is not covered to protect from the elements. A discretionary 15% service charge is applied to the final bill.
A New Year’s Eve Party at The Princess

We're teaming up with Gusbourne English Sparkling Wine to see in the New Year at our beautiful Notting Hill boozer. Expect a decadent evening with a sumptuous three-course set menu, then move into the pub to party the night away with DJ "Mr West". This experience price will be £70 per person which includes a welcome glass of Gusbourne Blanc de Blancs, 3 courses plus access to the party afterwards. A discretionary service charge will be added to the final bill on conclusion of the meal. Open until 1:30am.

Although upon arrival I was quite excited at the decor and relaxed atmosphere I didn’t feel the meal lived up to the value of what we paid. £200 for two people which included a bottle of wine limited starters and one dessert a sorbet. The steaks were mildly warm and not much variety nor any sauces which I found strange? Think there needs to be a review and upturn in quality versus value.

Each part of the full English was a little bit special. Service excellent. Classy but casual ambience.

The lamb chops were served almost raw with little change after being sent back. No apology or explanation other than “this is how they come”. Overpriced. The waiters were charming.

Dear guest, I'm very sorry to hear that lamb wasn't cook to your liking. Chef recommends it medium rare temperature as it's a very good quality chop. Satisfaction of our guests is our absolute priority, that's why after your complain we instructed all waiting staff to make sure that guests are informed that lamb comes pink and to pass information to the kitchen in case of different preference. Excellent food and wine choices. Service was relatively good. Only problem was the noisy saxophone which was so loud at our table that it made conversation impossible. To me this was unnecessary and spoilt a normally good experience at the Princess Royal.

We had the most fabulous dinner in the courtyard of this exquisite restaurant. Our evening was much enjoyed by not only the food but also the service Mohammed offered throughout. Look forward to going back very soon. Alex

If I could give 6 stars I would. The imagery drew us to this pub, so we made a last minute booking. As soon as we walked in we loved the place. The staff were busy talking but clearly it was worked related. As soon as they saw us they gave the most sincere apology even though it wasn't a problem to us. They then showed us to the most beautiful courtyard with just the right table. Within minutes Moe came up to us and was the most friendly and engaging waiter you could ask for. Once he told my husband the dessert special, he had us hooked in. The food came in a good amount of time, the most beautiful roast platter. It was truly delicious made even better that there was a selection of British sparkling wine. This to be makes a place stand out as they know how good English sparkling wines now are. My husband loved the dessert and the attention Moe gave us with the most friendly and fun banter, made us very reluctant to want to leave. I have shared the pub on my socials today as it is such a gem!! Even as we left we were chatting to other lovely staff. This was a rare find, can't wait to stay in one of the rooms.
