Mathew & Sage reopened the Prince of Wales after a long 8 month closure. They are a young couple passionate about food and drink and they strive to deliver well kept real ale and mouthwatering, moreish modern pub food.

Had not been to "The Prince of Wales"for over two years..because of previous bad reputation. Decided to try the new people ( been there a year). Excellent experience...will be going again and advise you to go too. Well appointed inside and out; good bar selection; good menu of very good food at reasonable prices; friendly and efficient staff. We (4 of us) spent a very pleasant couple of hours there....to make sure we had pre-boked a table). Highly recommend....go there!

We had a nice time. The fish and chips were good, but it was super noisy with a band tuning up, and then loud music which meant we couldn’t really talk.

Fantastic food as usual. Menue kept to a minimum which is why the food is always excellent. Service was very good. Staff cheerful and happy as always.

Arrived 20 minutes early but was told we couldn't order our food till our time slot at 2.30, the lagers on sale are all the expensive ones which I don't like so a standard cheap lager like a fosters or something wouldn't go a miss

Excellent local pub serving delicious food at good prices. Very friendly and helpful staff. We’ll definitely be coming back soon.

Great food now its been taken over. Menue is changing again i been told but the food is great and good value. Service is excellent

Lovely meal for Mother’s Day. Friendly welcome, very comfy and great food. Cauliflower cheese was excellent! Would recommend
