    Join us at the Potted Lobster for our Game Tasting Evening. The 6 course tasting menu will be focusing on seasonal game, sourced from neighbouring estates and farms, using traditional and modern cooking techniques to give you a delicious dining experience. For further indulgence why not upgrade to our wine pairing package and enjoy perfectly paired wine with decadent smells, tastes, and flavours to match to each course. Our Game tasting evening is running on Thursday 21st November 7pm onwards, and on Thursday 6th February.

    Very good food and service. The crab salad in particular was amazing. Large portions too.

    Great service as always, lovely food, scallops and salt and chilli squid were amazing, would highly recommend a visit

    Excellent service and a varied menu to choose from. The portion size is quite generous and we could hardly move after a starter and main! Both went for the haddock and chips which were delicious. Interesting and tasty twist on mushy peas too. Service was attentive and friendly without ever being 'too much' - everyone had a smile on their face - tables are not crammed in either, which means that you can have a conversation at a sensible volume. For us a bonus was being able to choose a dog-free place to eat. Really enjoyed our meal and would return. Many thanks

    A fabulous restaurant where the service is excellent. The food is outstanding and the choice is really good. A great place that we return to whenever we’re in the area. Well worth a visit.

    Nice food. Huge portions! I tried some surf and turf for mains which could have done with a couple more sauce options (and a sharper steak knife).

    An excellent meal in this very good restaurant. The staff are well trained and helpful and cheery. The food especially the fish is of a high standard. More expensive than some but you get the best and it is certainly value for money. We were here for a week and booked three times. Say no more. Well done to all the team you do a very good job.

    Service was excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding. We had oysters and crab cakes for starters. And lobster and fish & chips as a main. Everything was absolutely delicious and worth every penny. Would highly recommend
