A rural public house serving local beers, Berkshire gin and ciders, as well as a great wine selection. Bar snacks and full meals available 7 days a week. Cooking over a central grill makes for great theatrical cooking from our open-plan kitchen, overseen by Head Chef Nick Galer.

Whilst a subtle Basque feel will permeate throughout, its roots are firmly founded on those of a classic English pub – so while featuring top end Basque dishes fit for a destination dinner, it also offers simple pub snacks for a light lunch… while the food may be inspired by the Basque country, the ingredients are local… and while the wines may be sourced from Iberia, the beer is very much English.

The crowning glory is the sensational open kitchen, with a huge, CHARCOAL FIRED parilla grill and a BRICK OVEN as its centrepiece and all in front of the guests – very visual and very theatrical.

The Pot Kiln has been a really exciting project, and we’re thrilled to be finally open.

Delicious food and fabulous service. We enjoyed the variety of different dishes available. Tried a recommended new wine so all in all a lovely occasion. We went for mixed tapas to start and shared the rib of beef with baked potatoes and charred leafy greens.

This place is stunning! The building, eating area and decoration can not be faulted. The kitchen area is also open so you can watch the chefs at work, which I think is great. The food here is limited. It’s a very small menu and you have to put your own meals together and with each item is an added cost (example pork chops were £12 for 1 and I was advised to get 2. Cheesy chips £5.50 and Summer leaves £5.50) . It cost me £68 for a kids meal (£12.50), mocktail and my own food with a glass of wine. It’s not good value, but I can’t deny the food was good, just posh small portions.

A fabulous reinvention of a local favourite. We will be back often. Food was delicious, as were spritz’s and mock drinks.

We had a superb meal last night. The girls had the fish casserole, D had cutlets I had venison pavè. All scrumptious. Friendly efficient service, great setting. Looking forward to returning !

The food was delicious, so much variety too. With so much tapas to choose from and gorgeous sharing platters, we were spoilt for choice. Food was exceptional, the layout of the restaurant so fresh and modern and all the staff were lovely as well as very helpful.

The Pot Kiln holds a special place in our hearts as we hosted our wedding drinks there in 2020. They've totally refreshed it (keeping the same charm) creating an open kitchen and gorgeous large bar area with seating. The outdoor space looked beautiful too. The food was exceptional with some of the most authentic Spanish tapas dishes I've had in the UK. They've kept some of the classics on the menu so if you want slow cooked meat to share the option is there. Can't wait to return.

My friend had to send her fish back which wasn’t cooked and cold in the middle but apparently from that a good experience. The brought a fresh piece and didn’t charge for the fish which was very professional of them. Great ambiance and lovely staff
