I grew up in the South and am always on the hunt for good fried chicken and biscuits! We've eaten at several of the Post locations in the area and the food was good. However, today our visit was OUTSTANDING! The chicken was hot, super crispy exterior and perfectly moist inside! The flavor was all chicken and goodness. Not too salty, not bland at all. I had the half fried chicken with mashed potatoes and my husband had the fried chicken sandwich. He loved the sandwich and the hatch chili mac and cheese. I also ordered the crunchy slaw which complemented the chicken perfectly! We also had cheesy biscuits and they were hot, tender, and delicious!! My only small complaint was the rosemary was unexpected and a little heavy in the biscuits. They would taste more authentic without it and really, if biscuits are done right (and these were!), they don't need any additional flavoring. Lastly, the service was terrific! Darby was a delight to chat with and was genuinely interested in making certain we had everything we needed. This was an excellent experience and going forward, The Post Lafayette will be our go to location for the best fried chicken in Colorado!

The food is usually great, it was cold this time, they were very busy. Probably just couldn’t keep up getting the food out while it was hot. But we will definitely go back, the grandsons love their Chicken and Waffles. There is an app, InKind, that the Post is involved with, and it isn’t what they make it out to be. We were to get $25 off a $75 order, very appealing of course. What it doesn’t mention is that $25 which turned out to be $21.50, is put on the app for you to use at a later date, it is not coming off your receipt here and now. So false advertising, no other restaurant is associated with that app around the Erie/Frederick/Layfayette area restaurant. I wish that the Post wasn’t associated with InKind either as it doesn’t leave a good taste is my mouth when we went there specifically thinking that we were going to save $25 on that visit and it didn’t happen.

Delayed getting seated even though we had a reservation and there don’t appear to be other people waiting. The food was great, service was great- we will definitely be back for brunch.

The Post serves the best fried chicken around. On this occasion we ordered fried chicken sandwiches. The side options and biscuits set the Post apart from even the best fast food chicken sandwich options. The food is not cheap, nor is it expensive. The Adult Happy Meal to go is a screaming deal. We will be back.

Hot chicken and cold beer is the slogan and it’s absolutely true. Great chicken. Also, don’t sleep on the meatloaf the best I’ve ever had.

We normally love The Post but last night the service across the board was off. Food was still good but it seems like they're trying to squeeze too many reservations in and it's causing major problems with the dining experience.
