We live in Lafayette so have enjoyed many meals at the Lafayette Post but now we're in Estes Park for a week and thought we'd go to the Post here too as it was close to where we are staying....it was SO GOOD!! Not at all disappointed (although some salads at the Post were not on the menu in Estes Park and vice versa too!) Our server Mindy (who is normally a bar tender there) was also VERY good. All in all a wonderful meal with a great fun atmosphere also.

The Post was our first stop after arriving at Denver from California and driving straight to Estes Park. It is on a beautiful property and has a vintage carriage house charm to it. We arrived for lunch and were treated to a beautiful view outside. They have comfortable booths so I’d request for those if not for a table next to one of windows with a scenic view. We got the deviled eggs, fried half chicken plate with fries, original chicken sandwich with broccolini and the waffles from the kids menu. I got a recommended cocktail which was not on the menu - turned out to be like rum punch and I loved it. The chicken is well cooked with a well seasoned batter but be sure to ask for suggestions for sauces to accompany them - I was recommended their ranch sauce with my sandwich and it was great, the coleslaw was great too. The broccolini had a flavorful dressing but it’s a bit spicy ( and I love spicy) so order accordingly. Their food and service shows great attention to details. We had a great time and hope to visit again, will be recommending to friends as well.

Awesome GF choices. Fried chicken is fantastic! Had the CBLT added pickles and buffalo sauce. Had chicken and waffle. Half chicken platter and the original chicken sandwich. All great! Solid beer and cider choices! And even non alcoholic mixed drinks. Love this place. Service is fantastic.

Food and cocktails are so good! The service is always fantastic and it's so close to The Stanley it's perfect for a bite before headed over to explore The Stanley grounds or take a ghost tour!

Could not have had a better experience at The Post! Service was incredible, as was the food. Best Chicken out there!! Will definitely be back!

When the old manager was there (can’t remember his name but older / tall guy) things were on top top shape. Seems since he left it’s slipping. Good not as good or service. They forgot our waffles today so it took like 20 min after our meal was finished to get them. Also I am a vegetarian and I order the breakfast sandwich without meat. There was no meat inside but they had chicken skin on top???

Staff needs to promote specials and clear tables when guests are done eating. We had early reservations and had to wait for staff to get an empty table ready.

Excellent food! The chicken is fantastic and we enjoyed all of the sides. Beautiful views as well. Definitely make a reservation, you won't regret it.

Servers not very attentive or familiar with menu. Uncomfortable seating on booth bench with no footrests. Food itself was fine, nothing super special.
