We have dined at Porter's House at least 10 times. The food is always excellent, and the service is the best. Valet parking is always available.

We attended for our wedding anniversary. We were fortunate to get the whiskey room. Waiter was knowledgeable and courteous. Food and drinks were excellent.

The steak was tough and inedible. Server was mediocre. She barely checked on us. Didn’t bring bread or ask about drink refills. Not what it once was.

I took my sister and nephew here for her birthday last week. The ambiance is fine but a tad noisy. Drinks were good. The service is exceptional. My only real issue was the food. We started with a land board and the cheeses were not well paired and one of the salamis tasted rancid. We didn’t send it back because none of us was sure whether it was supposed to taste that way. Also, I ordered the halibut and they each ordered steak, plus we ordered two sides for the table. None of it was seasoned…at all. And there was no salt or pepper on the table so we asked for some. The sear on my halibut turned an otherwise delicate fish into something akin to a leather clad piece of flesh that even a steak knife had trouble penetrating. I had to remove the entire top and bottom layers of the fish which left me with about 2 ounces of edible fish. I took what I didn’t eat home to my dog and she struggled with it as well. I want to state that I didn’t complain about everything I had a problem with because of the fact that it was my sister’s birthday and didn’t want to cast a pall over the entire meal. We did inform our waitress about the lack of seasoning and also when our water glasses were refilled with lukewarm tap water. The key lime pie at the end was excellent but for a meal that costs nearly $500 after the tip, I expected more and better overall.

My wife was in town for business and we decided to have a date night at Porters. Overall we had a pleasant experience. We had the land board to start, my wife had the filet, and I had the NY strip, everything was tasty. The service overall was good however we sat at a really small table and wish the server would have been more attentive and removed the empty plates and glasses. It was a busy evening and the noise level was up there, we had to raise our voices to have a conversation. Overall, a nice restaurant and we would go back but maybe sit in the bar area which seemed to be less busy.

Sunday was slow night with no Valet parking available. All other aspects of the experience were great.
