We celebrated my mother’s birthday this evening and it was a wonderful experience! The service was excellent and the ambience was very relaxing on the patio overlooking the Harbour. Everyone enjoyed their meal selections finished by delicious desserts and cappuccino. A lot of thought and care has gone into this restaurant to make it a great success in a winning location. We will return…

We recently had the pleasure of dining at The Port Tavern, and I can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment we walked in, I was impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor strikes a perfect balance between cozy and chic, making it an ideal spot for both casual meals and special occasions. The menu offers a fantastic selection of dishes that cater to a variety of tastes. We ordered oysters and shrimp cocktails, and it was delicious—flavorful, beautifully presented, and made with fresh ingredients. Finally, the location couldn't be better. Nestled in the heart of Thornbury, it offers stunning views that enhance the dining experience. Whether you're enjoying a meal during the day or in the evening, the scenery adds a special touch to your visit.

The setting of this restaurant is beautiful. Amazing patio overlooking the Thornbury harbour, arguably the best in the area. We ate inside and the ambiance was lovely and cozy. Can’t wait to see what’s it’s like over the festive season. Service was very good and in general the food was good but not amazing given the price point. The French Onion soup is the best we’ve eaten and highly recommended. The entrees we had, fish and chips, chicken fracassee (fancy name for chicken pot pie without much chicken) and shrimp tikka masala, were essentially pub fare, tasty but nothing stood out as exceptional. Hopefully the menu will be changed up regularly!

I wanted to love this place. Couldn’t do it. Food less than mediocre Service, attitude and etiquette as would be expected in a diner Value, well the dish I had I’m pretty sure it’s a frozen President’s Choice frozen chicken pie. And the server sat us in the worst table in the palace and it was empty Nope, not going back. Another Mark McEwen failure and rip off.

Had an awesome dinner the other night with my wife. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious especially the oysters!! Great atmosphere with a beautiful view of the marina. Highly recommend and definitely going back

Wonderful food and great service. We booked a table indoors but everyone was sat outside. It was a bit cool. Would have dressed differently if I knew we were outside

The meal, the staff, the ambiance and the overall experience was exceptional. This is a superb find that I will be returning to again and again. The food…..such flavour. Rivals anywhere in the country. Well done.

We had the shepherds pie and the 1/2 chicken. The shepherds pie was very good and it was a large portion. The chicken was very moist and tasty, as were the mashed potatoes and sautéed mushrooms. My only criticism is that the meal had way too much rosemary and herbs. I kept chewing on the stems of the herbs and the raw rosemary. Otherwise it was very delicious
