Really good time at Pompano. Loved it when it was Evaritos and excited to explore the new seafood menu. We sat up on the roof for dinner and were concerned about being too hot. They got a great breeze and the roof top is also sheltered from the sun in the evening by the building behind it. Tuna nachos with the taro chips were the highlight. My hubbie and I both got lobster rolls with butter (CT style). The lobster was good but my roll was a little too charred and I ended up not eating the roll, only the lobster. For $36 for a lobster roll you expect perfection which is the only reason I did not give them 5 stars. Will go back and try one of the other entrees.

Highly reccomend this new spot! Everything we ordered was phenomenal. You have to order the sardines appetizer and Sole entree. Also the cocktails and mocktails were delicious. Was perfect for a date night and will definitely come back for other special occasions. Definitely note the rooftop has a diff menu but is a good stop for a drink before dining.

Very pleasant surprise. Menu was interesting and well presented. Sushi Rolls were interesting but the main menu is worth the trip. One might argue that 3 sea scallops for 42 dollars is a bit skimpy, but it was made well. Rooftop is more casual and lighter faire. This also comes with a younger and trendier client. A bit noisy on the roof which adds to the vibrant nature. In the main dining room, the feeling was a nice relaxed vibe with a sound level able to keep up a conversation. Lovely seafood, made well with some interest. A suggestion: Some interesting Cocktails off the beaten path. A real step up for the Norwalk food scene.

We had a great experience at The Pompano! The service was great and the food was great! A liiiiittle on the pricey side but that is to be expected as it is a predominantly seafood menu. A few callouts included the lobster mac and cheese, the signature sushi rolls and the salmon. Creme brulee and Key Lime Pie were also very good! Highly recommend checking this restaurant at.

We rate this new restaurant a perfect 10 out of 10. The hostess was exceptionally friendly, and the ambience, service, and food were all outstanding. Enrique, our bartender and waiter, was exceptional; his recommendations were spot on, and he was incredibly attentive despite having other customers. We look forward to dining here again.

I really hope this place does well and stays for a long time bc it’s so cute, classy, great food/drinks and service was good and professional. My husband and I got the hamachi sushi and tuna tartar to start and For dinner I had the Sole and he had the steak. Everything was so good and we’ll definitely be back. A little on the pricey side but expected for the area and type of restaurant.

There were 2 people in our party. We each ordered a sushi appetizer, a salad, and a fish entree. Our server brought us our sushi. Mine was not the one I ordered. I had ordered a vegetarian sushi dish which contains no fish. The waiter brought our sushi to the table and disappeared, not coming back to make sure everything was ok. The sushi that I was given contained raw fish, and also fried shrimp. When I finally tracked down the waiter, my companion had finished her sushi. The waiter admitted that he had confused the Green Dragon with the Golden Dragon on the menu. He offered to have the kitchen make the correct sushi, but it was too late, because the salads were being brought to the table. So I told the waiter to just cancel my sushi order. My friend requested soy sauce for her sushi, which took a good 15 minutes to be brought to the table. By the time the soy sauce was brought to the table, she had already finished her sushi. The salads were fine. After we ate our salads, it took another 60 minutes for the entrees to be delivered. When the check came, the restaurant had billed me for the sushi that I could not eat that they brought to me in error. I had to call the error on the check to the waiter’s attention. After he had a long conference with the manager, they removed the erroneous sushi from the bill. A word of advice to restaurants: when you make a major error in a meal order so that the customer cannot eat it and goes away hungry, DO NOT try to bill the customer for the item. Instead, you should give the customer some compensation for the fact that you royally messed up (such as cutting the final cost of the CORRECT bill, or throwing in free desserts, etc.) Nothing of the sort happened at the Pompano. Incidentally, our bill was $190 for 2 people.This is not an inexpensive restaurant, but the service was awful. For the price, we should have been treated better. After dinner, seriously, I went to a grocery store to get more food because I was still hungry

The staff was very friendly and attentive. We were greeted as soon as we stepped into the restaurant. For appetizers we had Fried Calamari - very good; Chopped Salad with Shrimp - excellent; New England Clam Chowder - it had great flavor and texture but definitely needed to have more clams, it was hardly in the soup. For main courses we had Halibut it came with vegetables but in this tasteless liquid not sure why it was prepared that way. The Halibut itself was delicious but broth and vegetables should not be served that was as in my opinion it ruins the dish; Buttered Lobster Roll - the lobster meat was cooked well and very tasty, they can go a little easy on the butter as the roll was drenched which caused it to be soggy. However the fries and slaw were delicious; Linguine and Clams - absolutely delicious!!! Overall I give it 4 ⭐️. I would definitely go back to try other menu items as the portions are sized well and the service was great!
