The place looked great and was very warm and welcoming, but it was very empty as there were lots of firework displays in the area which we hadn't considered. The lady who served us was really friendly and helpful - couldn't fault. Food was great and good value. All in all we had a lovely evening at The Poacher with our friends.

Second visit. Warm welcome from the landlord. Nice basic menu, but the food was very good indeed. The chicken schnitzel was excellent. Well kept beer (Doombar). Will return again.

We had a Sunday lunch, very good portions. The restaurant was very nice, but maybe could have been low key music on in the background.

Retuarnt almost empty on a Saturday night. My curry only just hot enough and stale naan bread. My partners pie ok. It the gravy was like tasteless water Waiter didn’t seem interested that there were issuers 1 course each and a bottle of wine £48 so not a cheap meal No wonder pubs are closing down they don’t even try

Lovely friendly welcome, the young lady looked after us extremely well all through our visit. Sunday lunch was very good, lots of vegetables, maybe to many, would have like an extra slice of beef instead. The dessert was excellent, a good cherry sundae with vanilla ice cream instead of the coconut on the menu made it so much nicer. The real ale was well kept and a nice choice. We shall certainly be back to try the main menu and the cocktails. Well done Team!

We enjoyed our food overall it was very good, very quick service. Great food and good choice of food.

Welcomed , shown to table and given Menu, after a little while, and we had decided what we wanted, we were informed that all Chicken dishes were off the Menu, due to no delivery not arriving, so had to choose again. Apart from that the meal was lovely,
