The Plough Shiplake, pub & dining room that prides itself on offering a delicious, seasonal menu with an excellent drinks selection. The Plough makes you feel special, and at home, all at the same time.

The menu itself is the perfect combination of reinvented pub favourites, with interesting and culinarily creative signature dishes. As well as having a reputation for the best cocktails in Oxfordshire.

The building has been lovely restored; creating a homely, yet modern atmosphere, where it's easy to get lost in conversation for hours. Every table has been given an unique touch and the open fire creates warmth, in both meanings of the word.

Superb as always. Beautifully decorated; nicely laid out; friendly staff who were always attentive when we needed something. Food was wonderful- all courses were very tasty: for we had the steak which was exceptionally tasty. All in all a great pleasure to eat there again.

Wow - very impressive first visit for lunch !! Food and overall experience considerably better than anything we've experienced in the Henley-on-Thames / Reading area for many years. Feedback from friends and food guides has been positive, but this was much much better than we were expecting. Shared starters were excellent and moreish and all three of us loved our main courses. Rainy day, but we're looking forward to a meal out in the garden 🎯

Quite simply the best Pub I have ever visited! Staff, Food, Ambience, Setting, even Toilets, were all excellent.

We couldn’t fault the food, service, restaurant or ambience. We just thought it was expensive and then a 12and a half per cent service charge
