The Plough Inn is a quintessential English thatched Pub set in the West Oxfordshire countryside dating from 1772.We have a roaring log Inglenook fire in the Winter and large gardens for the Summer. Well kept Real Ales and a comprehensive Wine list. Fantastic Home Made food at great value prices. Dog and family friendly.     Service was excellent, but food was very overpriced; its pricing itself at similar levels to a high end restaurant.

    We took our Japanese friends for an evening meal and they loved it. They were impressed by the old and traditional thatched building (established 1772) to the warm welcome at the door. We had traditional pub food including a steak and sausage and mash and it was 2 for 1 fish and chips night. All the food was excellent, nicely presented and good portions. My wife couldn't finish her meal but they boxed what was left for her to take away. Overall, highly recommended.

    Fantastic pub, really friendly landlord and staff. The food was excellent as was the service. Highly recommended .

    Interesting menu, and every dish was well presented and delicious (there were four empty plates after each course). Very friendly and informative staff. Perfect for a relaxed evening out with friends.

    Lovely pub, delicious food on a hot and sunny day. Service attentive and good portion sizes. One thought: a couple more options for vegans, would welcome but plenty to choose from for veggies.

    We’re trying out local pubs on a Friday evening to support the local traders and this was second on our list! Lovely warm welcome and food was delicious if a bit expensive. Would definitely go back.
