Take a reprieve from the back to school mayhem and enjoy high tea at The Plantry Cafe on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Seatings are at 15-minute windows from 12 - 1 PM. Guests are welcome to linger until 3 PM in the afternoon. Begin with your experience with our premium tea selection from Tea Forte. Enjoy a 3-course tiered service with traditional tea sandwiches, almond flour biscuits and seasonal scones, and our chef's seasonal selection of pastries. Add-on's include champagne, mimosas, and seasonal craft cocktails. RSVP required. Additional seating times are available to larger party sizes; please contact us directly. Children are welcome; please contact us for younger ages under 10 for abbreviated portion sizes as needed.

We're excited to provide our curious customers with the opportunity to try our organic, no added sulfites, and biodynamic wines with an hour of half-pours instead of full glasses - until, of course, you find a favorite. Sit bar-side to enjoy some complimentary hors d'oeuvres from 5:30- 6:30 PM every Friday evening. *Top shelf wineries available on request. *For coursed tasting menus and wine pairings, please call ahead to schedule your customized experience.

This is our 2nd time at this restaurant and it is still impressive in the creativity of the chef/owner in what she can do with vegan dishes. I will definitely go back. Great and unusual experience.

The restaurant is beautiful, and the meal and service were excellent. The ingredients were healthy and very fresh, and the combination of flavors made for a delicious meal. This is one of the best natural food restaurants I have frequented and the best one in Baton Rouge, and there is no other restaurant like it in Baton Rouge. The servers were very attentive and kind. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant is excellent. The food is like you are eating in France. Perfectly well thought out dishes with lots of detail. The decor was very nice and welcoming. The service was above and beyond. The owner / chef came out several times asking how everything was tasting. I loved every minute of my time at The Plantry Cafe.

The food is absolutely incredible. You can’t go wrong with any of the sandwiches. The trumpet mushrooms and carrot lox are so good. I love the flatbread too. They also have great soups! Everything here is amazing.

Super cute place. Love the vibe. Great blood orange mimosas. Good carrot lox. Was hopeful for a great gluten-free go-to since I have Celiac. It was Mother’s Day and they were apparently unexpectedly understaffed but even with the patience we were glad to grant, the experience was not remotely close to warrant the extremely pricey bill. You can’t charge Ruths’ Chris prices and provide poor service and mediocre food. Cucumber sandwiches were soggy and too much vinegar. Almond biscuits were salty. Cheesecake was a puddle with zero structure. Rosemary cookie was missing altogether. It was a high tea event and even that wasn’t good - one of the kettles was cold and there were no accompaniments as described in the menu. For our table of 4 gratuity was already included but should have been waived for everyone dining that day. I may go try it again on a non-holiday to see if this was a fluke. So disappointed.

Our third time dining here. I’m new to the vegan scene and carnivores trust me, you won’t miss the meat! A little secret: get the “sample” sized entree so you can try more than one item. Otherwise you’ll have a tough time deciding between all the great choices on the creative menu. Interior is impeccable.

Wow this was quite a pleasant surprise. The food selection and service was very unique and on a my scale for great restaurant’s The Plantry Cafe is at the top of my must return soon list. Do not let the name fool you. This place is surprisly large inside and fitting as a high end restaurant. The owner stopped by our table and was an absolute fountain of information on plant based food. Cheers

Quiet place and the high tea was good. Service was ok once the bridal party that was at the value was setup we got better service. When we got there only the 1st person who got there was told what was on the high tea menu. Asked one of the server's if she could tell us what was on the tray, but we could tell she had no clue does she explained it was vegan made items. When they were ready for us to leave to turn over the table and there was no one waiting either we got better service. Very surprised there was a 20% gratitude charged for all high tea service and thankful our service explained that to us. I will got back to see how the service for regular menu will be next time.
