Ahi appetizer was extraordinary. Rustic ahi and pork osso bucco were something we would order again. Sadly, no room for the lava cake, but the sorbets were light and refreshing. Our server was attentive but not intrusive. A perfect place to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary.

Delicious food, Fantastic service, and beautiful scenery. Gaylords is wonderful, and really well staffed. All of the finished dishes were taken away very swiftly, glasses were refilled not too often and not too late. Waiter’s & Waitresses were very professional and nice. My wife and I loved it and would definitely come back to it again. The food is worth the price I think, but it is on the more spendy side. So you are paying for quality, and it was well worth it.

We had a delicious meal in this open air Courtyard restaurant. Service was excellent as was the food. They brought our friend a Banana Foster cheesecake with a candle in it for his birthday. The Portuguese seafood stew and the fish Oscar were two of the best things we have eaten. Recommend this place for a special occasion. Good wine selections and ambiance.

Made a reservation and specifically mentioned it was my wife's birthday, asked them to do something special. She showed up with a birthday hat--no one gave her birthday wishes, and they did not even put a candle on the dessert we ordered for her. She spoke to the manager, who checked to make sure we already paid, which we did, and she said sorry, happy birthday, bye. I would not go here for any special occasions. The food was pretty good, but the leftovers gave us a stomach ache later. Very rude to me and my family. We asked for a more private table so our two toddlers wouldn't disturb any other customers, and even though the restaurant was mostly empty, they placed us in the midst of all the other customers, making it stressful for us and for the other customers. Very inconsiderate for us and for other customers. Poor service--a plastic toddler cup they pre-filled for us spilled on our table before we even got there, no one wiped it up. The place settings weren't even set up. And the waitress was very basic, as was the hostess and manager. Seriously, how do you mess up a birthday. Very disappointed, must be because we are local and not tourists. Definitely do not recommend unless you're a tourist or if you're just going to the bar--the bar is good, as is their rum tasting and train tours at the plantation. The restaurant I would not recommend; we went there during lunch on a Monday.

This is my favorite restaurant in Kauai. The food is superb, the ambience is wonderful and the service is delightful. The aloha spirit is surely alive here!

Service, food taste and service speed were good. Our feeling were that the entrees were a bit pricing given the portion size. Very pleasant experience.

We did the Rum Safari before lunch. We checked in and I was wished happy birthday by the host and then we were sat at a gorgeous little table on the corner of the Lanai overlooking a beautiful field with a gazebo. I had the special martini and both fresh fish appetizers. I was so happy with the whole experience. It felt special. Thank you to everyone who helped us all day.

We had a delay with the wait staff getting to our table but after that the service and food were really great. It is usual very pleasant and peaceful place to dine. There was one table with two young boys that were not well behaved. Otherwise it was and enjoyable meal.

Food was delicious as always. The blood orange martini was tasty and the fruit was grown and harvested on their property! You can’t get any fresher than that. Busser could’ve been more on it with refilling the waters. Our server Mele was very patient and knowledgeable about the menu, overall just an awesome server. We love Leah too as our server. Both great assets to your restaurant.
