Excellent service. Very prompt and helpful staff. Food good.....portions not as sizeable as hoped, but tasted good. Children’s menu had good choice and reasonably priced. A nice pub for a casual meal out.

Fantastic Sunday lunch and whilst there booked for Christmas Day for whole family. Staff pleasant and very helpful. Food plentiful and cooked to perfection. Definitely be back again

We were fortunate that our hotel restaurant was full which meant that we had to find an alternative place to eat. We we found a gem with The Piper. Staff friendly and welcoming. Although we did book online, this particular evening there was no need as it was a quiet night. The food was really good, there was a small wait due to staff shortage on the night but that was not a problem for us. There was a varied choice with something for everyone. Our meals all came out together, and there was nothing to fault. The value was excellent as there was a deal on for 2 courses for £12.99. The only thing that stopped me from leaving an outstanding rating for all categories was that they failed to add the discount to our bill, which we spotted later. We were refunded the discount promptly so no overall issue. Would we eat here again - absolutely without question. Would I recommend The Piper - absolutely without question. I hope anyone reading this then eventually going to eat here has as good a meal as we had.

We are local to Chester and can easily say this is the best Sunday lunch there is. Well worth a visit ! Staff are great too!
