    Fantastic pub but absolutely terrible experience! I booked this after reading the reviews, we had a table at 7.15pm for four adults and two children. You cannot fault the atmosphere and the pub itself but it was Friday night and they quite simply couldn’t cope and shouldn’t accept bookings they cannot accommodate. We waited 20 minutes for menus, half an hour for a first round of drinks and an hour for the kids food, in total an hour and a half for our food (we sat down at 7.10 and ate at 8.45!). There was one poor waitress trying to service all the dinners and the pub just got busier and busier and was completely overwhelmed. Add to that a mangy dog (no idea whose) constantly under our table trying to pick up food, a load of glasses being smashed and cold food, I’m afraid it was one of the worst evenings we have ever had. Go to see the pub but if it’s a weekend evening, don’t expect much else.

    Thank you for your feedback. We're addressing the long wait times and service issues to better handle busy periods. It's unfortunate that your visit coincided with one of our very popular live music events, which added to the busyness. Regarding the dog, it wasn't ours; as a rule, dogs should always be on a lead whist in the pub, and we have repeatedly told the owner in question. We appreciate your kind words about the atmosphere and are going to make sure we improve our service. We hope to provide you with a more enjoyable visit next time.

    Unique, welcoming establishment. Sometimes quiet, sometimes lively. Been here for gigs, dinners and, lunch / coffee. Great drinks and service. The food is amazing. Recommend the Kentucky Fried Monkfish starter. Had a fillet steak and it was the freshest steak I’ve ever had.

    A wonderful inn in a postcard perfect village. Would thoroughly recommend - and the pizzas are fabulous

    Totally overpriced. Food took ages to arrive and was not great considering how much we paid. Our waitress was lovely and working very hard in a very busy and noisy atmosphere. A nice old pub that has gotten carried away with the incessant overpricing due to it being a popular tourist spot. Would only recommend for one drink and move on really. Even that is pushing it at £10 for a vodka and lemonade.

We had an exceptionally busy weekend, and we apologise if your food took longer to arrive than expected. Regarding the vodka and lemonade, unless you had a double shot, the price should be £6, which is considerably lower than what you mentioned. It’s possible you were accidentally overcharged.     The Pig's Nose is always great, and so are the staff. It's our happy place! The pizzas have reached perfection level, in consistency and toppings.

    Excellent, character full, interesting pub. Good food and beer. Beautiful location, lively community and live music. What more can you ask for?

    Food was mediocre and overdone and overpriced. Preferred it when they just did pies - simple but so good. Wait time was over an hour. Could have been a longer wait had it not been for friendly locals. I'd only recommend for the beer and the atmosphere.
