Good food and great pub. Waitress was lovely. Sadly had to wait an hour and a half for food which spoilt the evening.

Very busy pub, serving excellent food. Outside tables available. Excellent gluten and dairy free options available, (including home made gf bread!) Will certainly return.

Very good food - only one person in the kitchen on the day we went so a little slow but otherwise fantastic. Burgers were spectacular.

Menu was really interesting and beautifully cooked. Service was great and very friendly. Atmosphere was perfect - music selection ranging from the ink spots to Tom Misch. We had a lovely night. Thank you.

We visited on our way back from a day out for a coastal walk. The staff were friendly but we wouldn't return as it was massively overpriced. £18 for a very average fish and chips with little taste and more batter than fish. The triple cooked chips were nice. Over £8 for a large wine which didn't taste that good. I suspect from a bottle that pobably costs about £6 to buy in a shop. Then we found out on paying that we were automatically charged £4 for service! When I queried it I was told most restaurants do it now. This is not a restuarant but a pub with very average pub food. I've never experienced this in a pub before and would have thought the steep price of the food to begin with would include service! Also the seats were very uncomfortable. If you go here expect average food at rip off tourist prices as there are lots of campers in the area and this being the only place nearby for them.

The pig's nose has always been wonderfully eccentric and mildly chaotic, if you are looking for reserved and dignified may not be your sort of place. But it is always huge fun and the food is excellent. The beer offering has been widened recently with the addition of their own craft IPA which is every bit as good as brewdog or shipyard etc.

Fantastic pub but absolutely terrible experience! I booked this after reading the reviews, we had a table at 7.15pm for four adults and two children. You cannot fault the atmosphere and the pub itself but it was Friday night and they quite simply couldn’t cope and shouldn’t accept bookings they cannot accommodate. We waited 20 minutes for menus, half an hour for a first round of drinks and an hour for the kids food, in total an hour and a half for our food (we sat down at 7.10 and ate at 8.45!). There was one poor waitress trying to service all the dinners and the pub just got busier and busier and was completely overwhelmed. Add to that a mangy dog (no idea whose) constantly under our table trying to pick up food, a load of glasses being smashed and cold food, I’m afraid it was one of the worst evenings we have ever had. Go to see the pub but if it’s a weekend evening, don’t expect much else.

Thank you for your feedback. We're addressing the long wait times and service issues to better handle busy periods. It's unfortunate that your visit coincided with one of our very popular live music events, which added to the busyness. Regarding the dog, it wasn't ours; as a rule, dogs should always be on a lead whist in the pub, and we have repeatedly told the owner in question. We appreciate your kind words about the atmosphere and are going to make sure we improve our service. We hope to provide you with a more enjoyable visit next time.
