The establishment is family-friendly and a great place to eat and come to for celebrating special occasions.

This is a country pub, and although we are passionate about our food, we stay loyal to the building’s roots and ensure it has the atmosphere we all relish from a pub.

Me and my fiancé have been wanting to go here for a while so took her for her birthday. Room was nice, well presented and very cosy. Food on the other hand was not great at all, my partner ordered a steak to cooked blue which came very well done so naturally we voiced our concern and received a new steak that was cooked as asked but the steak was very very dark, being a chef myself I know that this is because the steak is at its use by date. I myself ordered an overcooked and very dry chicken burger. The chips were really nice! I thought I’d order some belly pork as in my mind maybe pork is their specialty with being called The Pigs but I soon discovered that they were undercooked and flavourless. The sweet sauce was only on the plate and was super greasy leaving my stomach feeling awful. Breakfast was good very filling and good quality. I’m glad we scratched it off the list but probably wouldn’t go back. Too pricey over all for what it is in my opinion.

We took the whole family for a farewell meal as we are moving. Many fabulous meals have been eaten at the Pigs over the years and the standard continues to be high. We had a wonderful time!

The food was delicious and the staff were lovely and super helpful, when we arrived I let them know we were in a bit of a hurry as one of our party had to go to work after the meal and they were very quick and efficient. Everyone enjoyed the food and the specials were delicious.

My husband and I spent our anniversary at The Pigs and it was definitely a place to remember! Our room was the Sty in the Sky and we loved everything about it. Dinner was delicious as was brunch the next morning. Highly recommend a stay here, we will be back!

A very lovely venue, spacious car park, quirky decor spot on, staff perfectly friendly, food amazing, good selection of drinks, good portion sizes (on the roasts), will be back for sure, hopefully next time staying overnight and enjoying the accommodation. Thank you.
