This is a country pub, and although we are passionate about our food, we stay loyal to the building’s roots and ensure it has the atmosphere we all relish from a pub.

Food was average have had nicer meals at other places , not exceptional like we had heard about. Got ignored when we first arrived by a group of lads who work there who were more interested in chatting and talking crap / banter than serving customers. If I didn’t have a booking, I would have left before I was even served. Customer service on arrival is very important. Wasn’t even acknowledged. Won’t be recommending or rushing back shame really. Our waitress was very lovely though she saved the visit really.

Very good food, plenty of space and outdoor areas too. Dogs welcomed. Second visit here and will certainly return.

Service was quick and friendly. Beer selection was fine. Food was excellent and well presented. Norfolk Passport discount was nice touch. Only gripe is we couldn’t find anywhere to lock our bikes so used a wooden fence in the car park.

Lots of choice on menu and specials, service was good and waitress friendly and helpful. Food was delicious.

Overall a lovely Birthday meal in a beautiful pub. Service was slower than expected and it was very hot sitting under the glass roof outside area. But saying that the food was lovely, great choice for the children and great to have an outside play area. The dessert table was so good. Loved the whole layout, decor and ambience of the pub. Bar staff were good. Finished off our meal with a drink in the games room. Will definitely be back and would love to stay one day!

Had a lovely meal. Kids loved the playground. The kids portions were small but very tasty. Service was very good. I had the lamb burger which was huge. And my husband the steak special. Used the Norfolk passport for 10% off. So good value and good food, thank you

waiting time for drinks to long,same long tlme waiting for the main meal,waiting staff helpfull. untill iwent to pay no one there to help after waiting for a long time a young man came he certainly did not finish his training at charm school,w, davies.
