At The Pied Bull we serve ever popular traditional British fayre and speciality dishes . We prepare everything fresh and our team of chefs strive to produce the most delectable homemade dishes. Where possible we purchase local produce, including supporting local independent business right on our street. Our grain from the brewery is even fed to livestock- nothing goes to waste! What’s more, our award-winning Pied Bull ales are an added ingredient to many of our dishes!

Whether you're after a light bite or a 3 course meal there’s plenty of dishes to tempt your appetite.

Absolutely brilliant place to stay, Great ambience, love places like this. Lots of real ales and the food was great. Booking again for sure.

The booking had not been acted upon by the staff. Oblivious to it. So,. we were put into an empty side room. Not set up for dining . 2 menus brought to us by the waitress and told "its bar service" . The menu was fine if you liked meat. We decided there was nothing on the menu to suit us. We took the menus back to the waitress and explained this. Retort "oh ok". Went back to chatting with those around. Totally uninterested and unconcerned whether we ate there or not. We left and found a very nice meal down the road.

The food, service and ambience were just perfect! We even got a complimentary bottle of Prosecco and rose petals on our bed because we were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and staying the night 🥰

A fantastic traditional pub environment with great beer, food and service. Limited but traditional style menu and the food quality was exceptional. CAMRA members should ensure they carry their card as they allow us to enjoy a good discount

Very pleasant pub. Friendly and attentive staff. Starter was overdone but food in general was good.

Excellent food, considerate service and pleasant atmosphere. Particularly appreciated the relaxed feel of the place. The sea bass was delicious. Perfect spot for pre theatre scran !

The meal as always was fantastic, tasty and beautifully cooked starters and main course. Desert was cool of course. Beer as always was very tasty. This time we were placed on a table that wasn't very well lit in all honesty. It was positioned in a place tthat was used as a throughfare by people. They were actually quite close and this made me feel uncomfortable. Would it possible to screen off this section so people have to walk round rathe than cutting through please? This spoiled a little bit what otherwise would have been an excellent meal and I would still eat here again (having eaten here many times previously). Were I offered this table again as it currenttly is I would ask if we could sit somewhere else.
