                    As we've never visited Harrogate before, we only had restaurant reviews to go by when trying to find somewhere to eat. It sounded like my kind of place, with a very varied menu, so we booked. Firstly, the only table available was in the garden room, so we booked, not knowing what to expect. We were shown to our table and were not disappointed. The room was beautiful with flowers and leaves all across the ceiling and muted lighting. There were only about 8 tables, for a maximum of 4 diners so it was also quite intimate. We chose our food and drinks, which arrived promptly. My husband had the Mushroom Bordelaise, which was huge, and I had the Sticky Beef, which was a perfect sized portion. Both were delicious. My beef was quite spicy, but manageable. For our mains hubby chose the Lamb Rump and I had the Halibut. Again, great sized portions and delicious, well cooked food. My only slight gripe is that there were a few woody stalks in the sea asparagus. I had never tried it before and liked the flavour but having to sort the stalks out put me off. I was too full for a dessert but my other half had the Panacotta which he said was beautiful and the perfect end to the meal. Mine was rounded off by a lovely, strong flat white. When the bill arrived, we were amazed to see that, including my premium gin and my husband's 2 premium rums, the bill was only just over £100. We don't know when we will be visiting the area again, but this restaurant will definitely be on the list of places to go.

                    Dined today with my Wife & Son. It’s very dark in the restaurant, so had to resort to using my phone light to see the menu. The Pizza I ordered wasn’t great and only had 3 pieces of chicken on it. The rest was too much dough. Home Cooked Chips were tasteless. Shame really.

                    We had the Lebanese sharing platter to start, excellent selection on the board, food piping hot, great value for money. Followed by 1/2 Rack pork ribs, skinny fries, coleslaw, flavoursome food, generous portions, great value for money. Cocktails 2 for£14 I can highly recommend The Pickled Sprout

                    The table wasn't ready when we got there but that meant we had a drink at the bar while we waited, served by a very friendly bar man and sat at a very comfortable table. We didn't wait long at all before being seated for our meal. The food was fantastic, every course, cooked beautifully and the table service was brilliant. I've looked at booking at the hotel that it is situated in for this time next year and it's booked up already!!! We'll definitely be back 🙂

                    Unfortunately both of the meals my dining partner and I chose were unavailable and then the cocktail I chose was unavailable too, so disappointing. However although not my first choice my meal was delicious and the service discreet (waiter needs to understand difference between English and French mustard though)!
