Sunday lunch the only thing that tasted good was the gravy, ask for lamb told me it’s red so I said will have the chicken,she said it’s ok we can do it to how u like it, it came out red no body came to ask how it was till we finished, she took lamb back it was better but made me gag, veg was so hard, cauliflower cheese was lovely and cheese but cauliflower was still hard , only 3 things on the dessert, 2 meals and 2 cokes and cauliflower cheese £50.50 very expensive for under cooked meet and veg ,

Beautiful food and lovely environment, staff super friendly. Bit pricey but food is Beautiful. Menu could have a bit more selection

Spur of the moment booking. The chicken and leek pie was best I've had for years. Proper pie, not just a hat. Mash, veg and gravy were also very tasty. Great place. We'll be back

Had a lovely meal with friends, although there was a slight problem with one meal, it was soon rectified with no questions asked.

The food was very good indeed. The place was very relaxed and it was very dog friendly in the part we were sitting. It was busy when we arrived at 7pm with locals and families but closed rather earlier than we had hoped with last orders at 9pm. This was a little disappointing as we had arranged to meet an old friend for a meal and a catch up but we were the only ones remaining at this point so fair enough but I recommend going earlier rather than later. All the food was delicious, so strongly recommend!

Booked meal online, on entering restaurant was seated by waitress food arrived quickly. Starters were ok. Main meals arrived not long after - both burgers (chicken and beef) were overcooked and very dry. Eldest son managed to eat the chicken burger but younger son could not eat the beef burger as it was extremely dry and indelible (he did try) we notified waitress and then the original lady came back and said “we have served over 40 burgers today and no one else has complained so I’m going to out this one down to your taste” when we asked what she meant she said she was not prepared to take this off the bill as it was his taste not the restaurants fault. We told her we were not prepared to pay for a meal that was inedible and she immediately got very cross and told us “what do you expect to come in here and have a free meal” my husband told her she was rude. She went to speak to the chef and said they would take the burger off the bill but we would have to pay for the chips (£4 - my son ate approx 5 chips) when we got up to pay, the poor lady behind the bar had clearly been told to check our money - very embarrassing for her…. As we were leaving the restaurant the original waitress said very loudly don’t come back again - my husband did answer back to tell her we would not attend again due to her rude behaviour and that she should know better. Tbh the rest of the food we received was pretentious and overpriced and not particularly nice. The only reason we complained about the burger was because it was inedible. I have never been treated so rudely and aggressively by a waitress in a restaurant - clearly needs a lesson in customer service.
